Chapter 38| The Whole Truth

Clark's POV

I got my car keys and immediately got out of my office.

"Sir Clark? Where are you going?" my secretary asked and started following beside me.

"I have an important thing to confirm," I shortly replied and didn't bother to look at her.

"But Sir, you have a meeting with Mr. Salcedo at nine in the morning and you have thirty minutes left," she informed me.

I looked at her in annoyance.

"I said I have something important—" I stopped myself to shout in front of my secretary.

I shut my eyes tightly and took a deep breath to calm myself down. When I felt relaxed, I slowly opened my eyes.

"Secretary Linda..." I called weakly. I looked at her with desperation. I held both of her shoulders.

"I badly need to go. Kindly take care of the meeting..." I said and let go of her shoulders.
