Raven

My lips are quivering with words unsaid as memories of the past swarm through my brain. I see my mother making coffee, smiling before I pack my lunch for school. She always sat at our table, ready with breakfast, and now I understand why she was never in a hurry—all she needed was for me to leave so she could open up a portal.

Julia, my mother, worked at the Magic Academy, and the vision clearly showed that Daisy is eviler than I initially thought. The girl is an evil mastermind, and I never knew!

"I knew my mother was a teacher, but-..." Tears are gathering in my eyes at the same time that the anger curls its iron grip around me. "You mean to tell me Daisy is behind my mother's death?"

Every fiber of my being wants to scream at Daisy, ask what the hell her problem is, but oddly enough, I don't wish to kill her. She needs to be locked up and stopped. The Fae woman is dangerous, yet I don't think death is the answer. I've learned that karma is
