CALEB’S POV

The strong scent of the poisonous liquid hit my nostrils; I covered my nose in disgust. I didn't want to risk anything, the strong scent was as deadly as the liquid itself. I slipped the liquid in my father's morning tea and stirred it lightly; a green light smoke dispensed from the tea.

Great. Now it was a tasteless, odorless poison. Thanks Lola. I mindlinked her.

Being an alpha prince forever was getting boring; I needed more power. More control. And the old fool wasn't dying anytime soon so that I could get that throne. I watched his over confidence when Samantha bursted out about Aurora's sudden strength, Dexter's supposed prophecy from Agatha. It seems I would remain with nothing while the old fool gets stronger.

I summoned Rose, Samantha's nanny, to my chambers at once.

“Sir, you called for me?” she said, her hands trembling as she approached my bed.

“Relax, you're not my type. I can't fuck you,” I groaned. Bored and exasperated, my reputation must have spread like wildfire. I cannot even count how many servants I have fucked in this castle or this dreadful kingdom.”

She let out a sigh of relief. I rolled my eyes. How pathetic.

“I need you to take this to the king,” I smirked. “Make sure he takes it; the king loves his tea specially prepared.”

“But….I am supposed to prepare Her Highness Samantha for her cheerleading practice.” She trembled, clearly avoiding my gaze.

“Are you disobeying your future king?” I growled.

“No, Your Highness. I have duties for the princess too,” she muttered. “ Isn't that my royal duty? To serve the princess only.”

“Oh, is that so, you think I am insane for summoning you and ordering you to do something… Then you deserve to be punished for disobeying me,” I grinned. “Come closer.”

She slowly approached my bed, fear oozed out of her body. I could smell her adrenaline. Perfect.

I grabbed her by the hand tightly and threw the sheets off my naked body.

“Blow me,” I spat. Her eyes were tearing, a clear sign of weakness.

How pathetic.

“But…” Her perfectly round eyes beaming with tears.

“Now!!” I growled. I raised one eyebrow and looked to my side—oh, how I loved control. I smirked into the mirror.

I felt her tiny warm hands wrap around my cock and her lips parting to take in my big dick. She let out soft moans, as she did her thing with the tongue.

“Hmmm, that's more like it.” I stared at her small frame. Her silent sobs were music to my ears.

When I am king—wait, I am already king—the old man just needs to die.

I will have every maiden at my feet. So many bitches to fuck.

When I felt bored of Rose, her slurping and licking wasn't so bad, I pushed her off the bed, and she winced in pain.

Rolling my eyes in disbelief. What a crybaby.

“I hope you enjoyed it."

"Next time, I will make you do more if you ever reject my orders,” I barked.

I took the black robe from the wardrobe and wore it, taking the tray that contained the tea specially made for the king… my sweet father.

I walked out, feeling fulfilled.

I entered his chambers; there he lay on the bed.

“Ah, my son, come. I was about to call you,” my father smiled.

The poor man doesn't know he's about to meet his ancestors. Say hello to Alpha Richard.

“Good morning, Father, I made you some tea. Just how you love it.” I put the tray on the bed to his side.

He smiled and took the cup to his nose, then to his mouth.

How clueless.

My heart pounded against my chest; I hoped he wouldn't notice I spiked it. Plus, I made sure I blocked my mind from anyone reading it.

Being a wolf is exhausting. I wonder if vampires get to deal with this type of stuff.

“Caleb, I wanted to tell you that we will be postponing your crowning ceremony to your next birthday. You are not ready to be king yet. A crowned prince needs a lot of wisdom and knowledge. You're still young, and you just found a mate. You need time,” my father said, while sipping on the tea.

I smiled slightly and hugged him.

“Oh, my dear father, I wish I agreed with you. I knew you would do this.” I smiled while standing from his bed and walking towards the mirror.

In a few seconds, he started coughing heavily.

“I look handsome, don't I? A true king.” I strolled over to his bed and held his right hand. There it was…

The ring that was rumoured to have so much power that it was enough to take another wolf's power. Perfect.

Thanks to the guards for tipping me.

It glowed with luxury and enchanting magic.

“What did you do to me!” He coughed more, blood spilling all over.

“Oh, nothing serious. I am just helping you rest faster… Father.”

“I'll take this for you.” I took off his ring and put it on my index finger. I grabbed my golden dagger that I stole from the ancient temples on one of my voyages.

I grabbed my father's dying hand and cut it. The dripping blood from his hand fell straight into the ring. It consumed every bit of his blood.

The ring glowed bright green.

I laughed so hard… “Perfect!!”

My father collapsed on the bed, his body drained of all blood—the royal blood that would make me unstoppable.

The door burst open, barely startling me.

AURORA’S POVThe air was heavy, thick with mourning as Alpha Ceaser was buried in the Lycan traditional way. The forest around the grave was quiet except for the soft whispers that carried through the kingdoms, tales of a new, creeping darkness that had begun to spread. Every face I passed was shadowed with fear, every word weighed with worry.Lucien stepped forward, his expression grim. “Damion… Sera and Isabella have escaped their cell.”Damion’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Impossible. That cell is made to hold anyone. No one can escape it.”Lucien shook his head slowly. “I suspect someone let them out. There’s no sign of breakage or forced entry—it was deliberate.”I placed a hand on Damion’s arm, my voice steady but sharp. “Then question the council members. Many of them opposed you before, this could be their work.”Damion’s jaw tightened, and frustration flashed in his eyes. “Aurora… I can’t question my own people. They are my council, my allies. I have to trust them.”I felt he

AURORA’S POV I woke drenched in sweat, heart hammering, every muscle trembling as if I had run a thousand miles in my sleep. My robes clung to my body, damp and cold against my skin. The memory of the Shadow Realm, of the dragon’s heart, of Damion trapped in that infernal darkness, made my chest tighten with fear. I pressed a hand to my belly, feeling the pup stir with gentle insistence. A soft kick, a reminder of life inside me. “Oh, Damion…” I whispered, voice trembling. “Lucien… I failed you…” The room was quiet, too quiet, and I wondered if it had all been a nightmare. The sun streamed weakly through the curtains, painting patterns on the floor. I swung my legs over the bed, shivering as I scanned the room. Nothing looked wrong. Nothing seemed… real. A soft creak made me spin. The door opened slowly. My heart stuttered as Lucien stepped in, shirtless as always, carrying a tray of breakfast. His usual calm presence radiated through the room. “Good morning, Your Highness,”

AURORA'S POV The dragon’s massive wings beat against the air, lifting us high above the jagged cliffs. Wind tore through my hair and whipped my robes around me, biting at my skin. The pup inside me thrashed, tiny kicks reminding me that failure wasn’t an option. Stay strong. For him. "Your highness be careful!" One of the vampires called out.The dragon roared, fire spitting from its jaws in thick, scorching bursts. I gritted my teeth, spreading my silver-glowing wings wide to match its power. Every muscle in my body screamed in protest, but I refused to yield. My claws flared with energy, silver light dancing along their edges. "I refuse to fail! My mate awaits!" Its massive claws swiped for me, talons snapping through the air dangerously close. I twisted, narrowly avoiding the strike, and countered with a strike to its scaled chest. Sparks flew where silver energy met gold scales. The dragon’s roar shook my ears, echoing across the mountains like a rolling avalanche.I dug my cl

  • Maid For The Ruthless Lycan king    Chapter 97: Dragons Don't Exist

AURORA'S POV The wind stung my face as I soared through the night sky, carried by the powerful wings of the elder vampires. The clouds split around us like dark waves, and beneath, the world stretched endlessly—forests of shadow, glimmering lakes reflecting the pale moon, and mountains like jagged teeth.Beside me, the senior vampire, his silver hair whipping violently in the wind, flew effortlessly, his crimson eyes locked on the horizon.“Are you sure about this?” I shouted over the rush of air, my voice trembling. “Are you absolutely certain dragons even exist? I’ve never seen one. No one has! They’re just… just stories!”His gaze cut to me, sharp as a blade. “My queen, I have slept beneath the earth for centuries, yet even buried in darkness, I could feel their heartbeat.” His voice was deep, steady, ancient. “Dragons are real. They always have been. All creatures exist for a reason—even those that choose to hide.”I swallowed hard, gripping the arm of another vampire as we soare

My hands pressed into the cold black ground, trembling with exhaustion and rage.“Ancestors,” I breathed, my voice cracking. “Help me. Please!”A sudden pulse of power surged through the Shadow Realm. The earth beneath me split with a deafening crack. From the fissures, skeletal hands clawed their way upward, followed by pale figures cloaked in black mist. One by one, they emerged—a legion of vampires, their eyes glowing crimson like dying embers.I stumbled back, my heart hammering. They fell to one knee in perfect unison, their voices rising like a chorus of ghosts:“Our queen has risen.”My stomach twisted. My voice shook with anger. “No! This isn’t what I asked for!”I lifted my face to the moon, glowing faintly through the shadows. “I asked for strength to save them! Not an army of the dead!”My cry echoed, swallowed by the realm’s darkness.“Your command, my queen?” one of the vampires his
