The weekend had rolled over so quickly, it was my first day at the job, I wear a white vintage shirt and a black pencil skirt accentuating my curves. Then tied my hair into a ponytail, I arrived at the office at exactly 8am. When I was the CEO, I would arrive at 9am. I entered into Gaston’s office first, recalling the memories , What was once my office was now his. Days and nights when I would sit over there and work until time flew by. It felt unreal to be back again after escaping a near death experience. I stepped out of the office to the secretary’s desk, arranging the table to my liking, making sure everything I needed was within arm’s reach when the doors opened and Gaston walked in, wearing a brown suit and a black fur jacket. A smile broadened on his face, the bastard was super excited for me to begin working that he came early. “Welcome Sir” I greeted and he nodded with a smile. “How was your weekend?” “Splendid” I replied. “Wouldn’t you ask me about mine?” He demanded, pretty much an attention seeker. Like I care about how his weekend was. “My apologies Sir, How was your weekend?” I played along. “It was lonely, like it was missing something” he answered. The fool couldn’t hide his joyous outburst, he was like an open book. I ignored his comment even though I knew exactly what it meant, “I hope you find what ever you are looking for soon” I dismissed him concentrating on my desk. “Thank you” he replied awkwardly reaching for his door, “Your meeting will begin in the next one hour, Mr Adil requested to see you himself, then you have a factory visit today at the new branch, by 10am” My sudden tone of seriousness made him straighten his back, “Thank you, I will be in my office” he excused himself and walked in. I took my seat flipping through the details of the file in front of me, it’s been a while since I worked and I had almost forgotten the feeling of it. It was amazing as it was exhausting but it felt good to be back. I could feel a pair of eyes on me, watching me for a while now, all that separated my office from his was the glass, and I had forgotten to bring down the curtain. I tried my best to ignore him, men like Gaston prefer their women to treat them like trash. To act like he didn’t exist so that he could chase them more. He liked the thrill, he loved the chase, I realize that after stringing him along for six months before I finally accepted to date him. Once I did, I began noticing changes, changes that I thought were just minor but they actually led to my death. It’s 1pm, right after the lunch break, my heels were hurting from walking. I took a bandage from my purse and sealed the injury. Once I was done, A call came through the phone, I picked it, “Let her in” I said then ended the call. I grabbed a file from my desk and walked towards his office, knocked twice then walked in, his eyes were glued on the screen like I hadn’t seen him watching me walk to the door. “Sir, I need your signature for these files” I placed the files on his table, “My pen” He inquired and I picked a black pen from the case of pen he had. I watched him sign the first papers, While I tapped my heels on the floor, drawing his attention to my legs, I wore a black skimpy tights, his eyes traced them upwards until he stopped at my knees. “Is there any problem Sir, is there anything wrong with my clothes?” I inquired, making it obvious that I knew he was staring. He shook his head vigorously , “no” “I’m done” he handed the files to me but he had only signed the first page, there was still more to take care of. How the hell did I let him be the CEO when he was this stupid at his job. How was it possible that a man like Gaston could kill me? There he was staring at me like I was a snack, as though he had won the lottery. “Sir” “Yes” “There still a bit more” I said then checked the time, counting the steps it would take for her to get here. I leaned down to his level, my elbows resting on the desk, keeping his eyes glued on my breast. “You have to sign here and here” I stated. Eleven more steps and she would be here. “Really?” He let out a chuckle, I slowly turned towards him, pulled my ponytail to the back, blinked my eyes and smiled. He couldn’t take his eyes off me, staring at my lips and my cleavage, trying to decide which one to dwell on. I used the opportunity to push his pen to the ground, “I’m sorry” I leaned down to get it, arching my back in front of him. I could see his hands stretching, itching to touch me, he was loosing his cool, then I pretended like I slipped. He caught me, his hands around my waist as he pulled me to sit on his legs. Thinking he was sneaky about that when I had orchestrated the whole thing. “Be careful” he grinned, I could feel his free hand caressing my thighs. I felt like throwing up but I held it in, She had to see this. And just like I anticipated, the door opened and she walked in. I’m certain she would pissed by the scene in front of her. “What the hell is going on here?” She screamed at the top of her lungs. Bingo. “Rebecca” Gaston called, surprised to see her in his office when I was the one that let her in, the look on her face was priceless, exactly what I wanted to see. “What are you doing here?” He asked startled, I quickly stood up acting like I was ashamed of what had just happened. He took me to beautiful restaurant that was empty. He must have pulled some strings to get it.I followed behind him as he walked a few steps ahead, always keeping a small but intentional distance, glancing back just enough to make sure I was still there. It felt less like he was leading me and more like he was guiding me into a world he had designed for this moment. The scenery outside was almost cinematic: a stone bridge arched over the river, lined with glowing amber lights that shimmered across the water. The sky rumbled with the low percussion of a distant thunderstorm, its flashes occasionally illuminating the horizon. Inside, candlelight softened every corner, giving the room a warm, golden hush. When we sat, a quiet conversation with the chef must have taken place beforehand, because dishes arrived without menus or questions. First came a delicate appetizer: thin slices of citrus-cured salmon arranged like rose petals, sprinkled with microgreens and edible flowers. Then a truf
“This is all my fault sir, I should have been more careful” I reacted before he even got me.He paused in front of me, his right hand closing the door, leaving us all alone.“No, it’s not your fault” he changed his words. His hands reached for my face and he cupped them in his hand, it almost made me puke but I held myself.“But you were about to lash out on me, you pointed at me” I played my act perfectly, I could see how smitten his eyes on me were.Did he have any dignity left in him.“No, I was about to ask you to get on the phone and find out what happened. This is not your fault. If it’s anybody’s fault, it’s mine.” He pulled away and stared at the files on the desk.“Maybe my presentation just wasn’t good enough. I hate to see all my hardwork go to waste”This man has not worked a day in his life, if he did, he would have notice the flaws in the presentation but he didn’t, that just shows how gullible he was”“Are you sure?”“Yes dear” The only thing he ever put effort in is
DianaDespite my efforts, I arrived late for the meeting. The company had an important presentation to offer to Mr Golde.Mr Golde was an international businessman, he occasionally gave visits to local businesses to partner with them. After a week of reaching out to him and Gaston’s mom pulling the string with a party Favour, a cherished vase from his family line that had been lost a long time ago. He agreed to be available for the presentation.I pushed open the door to find him and his team already seated, he was as punctual as they said.Gaston stood waiting in the front as I carried the files he needed for the presentation and got the prompter ready.Pleasantries were exchanged in a few seconds, I stood by the left corner of the room watching them.“This is Project L, it was collectively thought of by me and my team, It’s a plan to resolve the issue between the Chinese and Japanese delivery companies while acting as the middle man.We call it the ILC.”“InterLink Logistics Coordi
I intentionally arrived 30 mins late to the venue, I found Rebecca seated with a glass of iced tea in front of her.Once she set her eyes on me, she didn’t seem pleased that I kept her waiting.Rebecca has always been the impatient one, if anything bugged her, she made sure to clear it out of her way.I grew up with her so I knew her like the back of my hand.I took my seat and asked for exactly what she was having. Her icy breath grazed the surface of my skin as I reached for the drink presented to me.“I want you to quit your job” she commanded. She must have lost to Gaston in a fight again, because if she had her way, she would have fired me the moment she saw me.“I can’t do that” I answered and her face grew cold. She became quiet before she reached in her purse and pulled and envelope. She dropped it on the table and slid it towards me.“I know women like you, you love to reap where you didn’t sow. It’s money that you want right, there is enough money in there for you to not sh
I had finished the work for the day, got my bag and was ready to leave when I got a text.Since the accident, I have been lodging in a shitty motel and needed a place of my own.The agent informed me to visit for inspection, I almost leaped for joy because this was the house I really wanted.I was almost out the door when I bumped into a figure, rubbing my fingers against my head, I looked up to see…“Melvin” I called out.His face contorted as he looked down at me, “I don’t remember telling you my name” he said.“Uhhmm” I had totally forgotten that we never exchanged names yet.“You did, you don’t remember because you were drunk” I blurted out.“I didn’t drink that day” he stated.I gulped down hard, I know I was intoxicated because I was pissed about my new job and that’s why I slept with him.So what was his excuse?“Well, what brings you here?” I changed the subject, trying to divert him from how I knew his name.“You forgot your wallet after you ran away” his face was firm when
Diana pov:“What am I doing here?” She lashed back at him rhetorically, “What are you doing with her?” She barked. He turned to me for a second but I kept my head down, pretending I felt guilty for what had just happened when I had orchestrated the whole thing.A Minute ago, I got a call from the Cali the receptionist that Rebecca was coming, so I made my move and waited for her.He stretched both arms and shook his head, “this is all just a big misunderstanding, she was reaching for my pen that dropped to the ground” he explained but she wasn’t buying it. Why would she?“You bitch” She screamed at me.“I’m going to kill you” she lunged towards me but Gaston pushed her back. She almost collapsed to the floor.Glaring back at him, a shocked expression on her face, she couldn’t believe that he would do such a thing.“Did you just push me?” She muttered terrified.“Why don’t we all calm down” he suggested.Calm down, I scoffed. That’s something Rebecca wouldn’t do, no one likes to see an
