The job offer had given me mixed feeling, on one hand I should be happy that I was getting closer to my revenge and on the other hand, I hated the fact that I had to get closer to Gaston to exact that same revenge. It felt like going back to my own vomit and it revolted me. I’m seated at the bar of the Swiss Hotel, I have been lodging at the hotel for a while now, waiting to get a feedback on my new apartment. “One more shot” I tell the bartender and he mixes the drink then pours it in my glass. I stare down at the young girls on the dance floor, dancing to their heart content, men staggering and drinking. All I needed was something to cool my nerves, to have a good time this weekend before I begin work next week. I scanned my eyes around the space in the VIP area, it landed on a man seated in the corner of the seat. His face caught my attention because I knew him, for a long while. I had a crush on him in high school, but I never got the chance to confess my feelings to him. He was from a well-to do family and I was from an average family struggling to keep their business up. We only spoke thrice throughout high school, barely passing three sentences. Not only was he my crush but he was also Rebecca’s. We would argue for weeks on who would get him first, neither of us did. Rebecca only wanted him because I wanted him, it took Gaston to realize that. His eyes fell on me like he could feel me staring at him. I grabbed my drink and walked towards me, something I have never done before, feeling pretty confident that he won’t refuse me now. I ran my fingers through my hair, patting it into shape, leaving behind the series of numbers and cards that men had given to me from the minute I walked into the club. With my new face and body, I wanted more of a challenge, to go after something I never believed I could have. “Can I join you?” I asked. His eyes scanned me from head to toe, wondering if he should let me. He looked different now, his usual straight hair was now curly, his jaw more defined, thick brows and broad shoulders. Doing no justice to what he used to look like before, he grew hotter. “Sure” he answered. He sat in the middle of the couch, with two interconnecting chairs with it, it would be common courtesy to sit a few distance away from him but I walked right towards him. Sat closer to him on the couch, my body pinning to his. He didn’t show any sign of discomfort as I expected, was this the kind of woman he liked? I can see why I never stood a chance. “Are you here with anyone?” I asked placing my glass on the center table. “No” he shook his head. “Why? What’s a pretty boy like you doing all alone?” I reached out and rub his arm, I didn’t expect him to be ripped but the shirt was definitely a paid actor, hiding all that beneath it. He leaned towards me, his scent dancing in the air, fresh lemon and cocoa, a masculine scent. He doesn’t answer my question, he just stares at my cleavage then at my thighs. I took it as an invitation and rested my thighs on his leg, “Do you want to have a good time?” I asked, tracing my fingers around his chest. Getting a feel of his body. “What do you think?” he placed his thumb on my thigh and caressed it. I smiled. “How far are you willing to go?” I grabbed his face by the jaw turning him to face me. Leaning closer until our lips are inches apart from each other, making him beg for me to kiss him. To yearn for a taste of my lips. His eyes doesn’t leave my lips, he traces them, watched every silly move I make. Then I lean much closer to the point that my bottom lip grazes his before I push to the side. “Are you sure you can handle me?” I whispered in his ears. He kisses me on the neck, right at the spot that could make my shiver, and boy did my body shiver at his touch, in a way that I never imagined, his right hand circled around my waist, then he pulled me up until I was sitting on his legs. “I don’t intend on being nice about it” he replies. There was a sensation in the way he held me, like I was his, like he had been waiting for this moment. “What are you going to do to me?” I asked. He leaned closer and kissed me on the neck then down to my cleavage. He pauses, focuses his eyes on my lips. His left hand grazing my body, very little skin contact until they reached my neck, then he grabs it tightly, making sure I don’t escape. His lips crash into my mine, hot and sweet, it was everything I had pictured our kiss would be in high school. I had just lost my dominance and he was now the one in control, not a bit of Shame washed over me for kissing a man so openly in the club. Before I knew it, we were at the hotel, barely able to close the door behind us. He pinned me against the wall, ravaging my body with his tongue, wet, sensational. Then he picked me up in his arms, straight to the bed where he ripped my clothes off my body. My arms circled around his neck as he played with my body like I was his personal toy. The rest was magical. *** I blinked my eyes for a second, before fully opening them. It was already morning, my body felt sore from last night, my head was resting on his chest with his arm around my body. I slowly took his arm off then lifted my head, making sure not to make a sound to wake him. I picked my things scattered on the floor, and wore them. Then tiptoed to the door. “Hmm” I could him groan in his sleep before I stepped out. Once I was out the door, I breathed out in relief. He took me to beautiful restaurant that was empty. He must have pulled some strings to get it.I followed behind him as he walked a few steps ahead, always keeping a small but intentional distance, glancing back just enough to make sure I was still there. It felt less like he was leading me and more like he was guiding me into a world he had designed for this moment. The scenery outside was almost cinematic: a stone bridge arched over the river, lined with glowing amber lights that shimmered across the water. The sky rumbled with the low percussion of a distant thunderstorm, its flashes occasionally illuminating the horizon. Inside, candlelight softened every corner, giving the room a warm, golden hush. When we sat, a quiet conversation with the chef must have taken place beforehand, because dishes arrived without menus or questions. First came a delicate appetizer: thin slices of citrus-cured salmon arranged like rose petals, sprinkled with microgreens and edible flowers. Then a truf
“This is all my fault sir, I should have been more careful” I reacted before he even got me.He paused in front of me, his right hand closing the door, leaving us all alone.“No, it’s not your fault” he changed his words. His hands reached for my face and he cupped them in his hand, it almost made me puke but I held myself.“But you were about to lash out on me, you pointed at me” I played my act perfectly, I could see how smitten his eyes on me were.Did he have any dignity left in him.“No, I was about to ask you to get on the phone and find out what happened. This is not your fault. If it’s anybody’s fault, it’s mine.” He pulled away and stared at the files on the desk.“Maybe my presentation just wasn’t good enough. I hate to see all my hardwork go to waste”This man has not worked a day in his life, if he did, he would have notice the flaws in the presentation but he didn’t, that just shows how gullible he was”“Are you sure?”“Yes dear” The only thing he ever put effort in is
DianaDespite my efforts, I arrived late for the meeting. The company had an important presentation to offer to Mr Golde.Mr Golde was an international businessman, he occasionally gave visits to local businesses to partner with them. After a week of reaching out to him and Gaston’s mom pulling the string with a party Favour, a cherished vase from his family line that had been lost a long time ago. He agreed to be available for the presentation.I pushed open the door to find him and his team already seated, he was as punctual as they said.Gaston stood waiting in the front as I carried the files he needed for the presentation and got the prompter ready.Pleasantries were exchanged in a few seconds, I stood by the left corner of the room watching them.“This is Project L, it was collectively thought of by me and my team, It’s a plan to resolve the issue between the Chinese and Japanese delivery companies while acting as the middle man.We call it the ILC.”“InterLink Logistics Coordi
I intentionally arrived 30 mins late to the venue, I found Rebecca seated with a glass of iced tea in front of her.Once she set her eyes on me, she didn’t seem pleased that I kept her waiting.Rebecca has always been the impatient one, if anything bugged her, she made sure to clear it out of her way.I grew up with her so I knew her like the back of my hand.I took my seat and asked for exactly what she was having. Her icy breath grazed the surface of my skin as I reached for the drink presented to me.“I want you to quit your job” she commanded. She must have lost to Gaston in a fight again, because if she had her way, she would have fired me the moment she saw me.“I can’t do that” I answered and her face grew cold. She became quiet before she reached in her purse and pulled and envelope. She dropped it on the table and slid it towards me.“I know women like you, you love to reap where you didn’t sow. It’s money that you want right, there is enough money in there for you to not sh
I had finished the work for the day, got my bag and was ready to leave when I got a text.Since the accident, I have been lodging in a shitty motel and needed a place of my own.The agent informed me to visit for inspection, I almost leaped for joy because this was the house I really wanted.I was almost out the door when I bumped into a figure, rubbing my fingers against my head, I looked up to see…“Melvin” I called out.His face contorted as he looked down at me, “I don’t remember telling you my name” he said.“Uhhmm” I had totally forgotten that we never exchanged names yet.“You did, you don’t remember because you were drunk” I blurted out.“I didn’t drink that day” he stated.I gulped down hard, I know I was intoxicated because I was pissed about my new job and that’s why I slept with him.So what was his excuse?“Well, what brings you here?” I changed the subject, trying to divert him from how I knew his name.“You forgot your wallet after you ran away” his face was firm when
Diana pov:“What am I doing here?” She lashed back at him rhetorically, “What are you doing with her?” She barked. He turned to me for a second but I kept my head down, pretending I felt guilty for what had just happened when I had orchestrated the whole thing.A Minute ago, I got a call from the Cali the receptionist that Rebecca was coming, so I made my move and waited for her.He stretched both arms and shook his head, “this is all just a big misunderstanding, she was reaching for my pen that dropped to the ground” he explained but she wasn’t buying it. Why would she?“You bitch” She screamed at me.“I’m going to kill you” she lunged towards me but Gaston pushed her back. She almost collapsed to the floor.Glaring back at him, a shocked expression on her face, she couldn’t believe that he would do such a thing.“Did you just push me?” She muttered terrified.“Why don’t we all calm down” he suggested.Calm down, I scoffed. That’s something Rebecca wouldn’t do, no one likes to see an
