CAIN POV
“ Everything is too calm, Alpha. ” Xavier speaks, from across the table and pushes his hair back.
Today, we buried ten of our pack members. Elijah’s puppet creatures killed them when they crossed the border.
And now, everything is too calm. Werewolves have a pattern when they attack each other’s packs. They attack and if they retreat, they attack again.
Retreat. Attack again. Retreat. Attack again.
This sequence repeats for rogues usually, but Elijah seems to have changed and turned into something else.
After they retreated, instead of taking another route and coming back to attack, they have disappeared completely.
This makes me feel like this fight is not going to be fair. Elijah has an advantage here. I don’t where he is, what he is thinking or what he is going to do now.
