MIRACLE POV
I turn around to leave as soon as Cain tells me that Matthew is awake now. He sure regained his consciousness faster than he was supposed to do, not that I complaining or anything like that.
“ I am coming with you. ” Cain declares from behind me.
I don’t stop to wait up for him and step outside the room so I can sprint down the pack house to reach that guest room where my brother is.
Goosebumps rise on my skin when I get closer to the room. A nervous feeling engulfs my guts along with fear.
How am I supposed to behave when I meet him after such a long time?
Will he be mad because I never tried harder to look for him while he was suffering in Elijah’s captivity?
Is he going to be disappointed when he finds out that I am used to giving up easily unlike what he always taught me?
Is there any excuse for my weak mindset and will power?
All kinds of questions knock at the door of my mind.
