Chapter IV

           The next day, both the parents of Mira and Jiro came to visit them and to see their granddaughter. Mira shows them Melissa who just woke up, for all them Melissa is a bundle of joy.

“oh my gosh she is so small and cute,” said grandma Suzuki

“you both did a great job,” said grandpa Suzuki

“true, our granddaughter is so beautiful and cute, can I carry her mira?” asked grandma Shimizu, the mother of Mira. Mira’s maiden surname is Shimizu and her family owns the Shimizu pearl industry that is known throughout the whole country for their long history. The Shimizu Pearl industry first started with Mira’s grandfather who dedicated it to her grandmother. Currently, the company now operates under the management of her father and older brother. Her grandfather decided to just retire and spend the rest of his life in a peaceful place. 

“of course mom, melissa would be very happy to be held by all of you.” Said mira as she carefully gave her daughter to her mother.

“she looks so much like you mira” said grandpa Shimizu

“you think so dad?” asked mira who is fluttered to hear that her daughter looks like her.

“yes, she looks so much like you when you were a baby but I see that she got her father’s eyes” Melissa opened her eyes as she looks at grandma shimizu that is why she said that.

“oh my! Dear she has Jiro’s eyes! Baby did you know that your eyes are so beautiful. It compliments your beauty so much.”Said grandma Suzuki

After having their fill of staring at their granddaughter and each was able to carry Melissa they need to give her back to her mother to drink milk. While Mira went back to the baby room to breastfeed Melissa, jiro lead everyone else to the dining room where the table are being set up by the maids. A lot of foods are being place in the table while everyone are having a chat.

Meanwhile downstairs inside the room of eiji, Mina just finish giving eiji a bath and now dresses him up. Before his grandparents arrive, she took him outside to sunbath him a little. That way he will be able to get some nourishment thru the morning sunlight. After that she feed him some milk as his breakfast, after that was his bath. Now mina notices that eiji seems to be a little sleepy, so she started to sing a bit of a lullaby to put him to sleep. Mina has two younger siblings that she took care of when they are very young that is why she knew how to take care of a baby.

“young master eiji, I hope you won’t detest you’re parents for doing this to you. I know that deep inside their hearts they want to take care of you too and to love you like your sister. For now, allow me to give all my love to you and I promise that I will take care of you” said mina to eiji after she places him back to his crib. For mina, whatever the reason of her madam, they just decide it out of concern and she knew that one day they will realize that they want to take care of their son as well. She just needs to take care of eiji until that time come, the time that eiji will be able to call his father and mother openly.

Back to the dining room where everyone started to eat as soon as Mira joins them after putting Melissa to sleep. They talk about a lot of things that involves Melissa in general and sometimes they would talk about business for a bit.

“oh, that reminds me Mira, do you remember your uncle Moto?” asked grandma shimizu

“yeah, the husband of auntie Mio right? Why do you ask?”answered Mira 

“yes, then do you remember his son ken?”

“ken? As in uncle moto’s first son with his first wife?”

“yes, yesterday your autie called me and told me that her step-son’s wife got into an accident and died. It was such a pity that they just got married a year ago and now he lost his wife,” said grandma shimizu

“oh no, I hope he is fine,” said grandma Suzuki. Grandma and grandpa Suzuki met the whole family of the shimizu when they attended the birthday the of mira’s grandfather. There they also met the step-cousin of mira that they are talking about just now.

“well, fortunately he is fine but then again he just lost his wife and from what mio told me that step-son of hers lives in another city far away from them so they can’t always visit him. And I think he now owns a restaurant in that city, he started his career as a chef there.”Said grandma shimizu to grandma Suzuki who is concern.

“ken lives alone? And in what city again mom?”asked mira with a shock face.

“well, now that his wife is gone, yes he now lives alone in their house. With regards to what city, I have no idea where since even your uncle moto and auntie mio didn’t know where he really lives. They just call him from time to time and when they called this weekend that is when they heard the bad news about the death of his wife. They wanted to visit him, but he just told them that he wanted to be alone and then he hung up without even telling them about his home address.” 

“I see, from what I remember ken is a beta right?” asked jiro who suddenly interrupt the conversation of mira and her mother.

“yes, that’s right. Although his father was an alpha, his mother was a beta and that is where he got his second gender. Why do you ask?”asked grandma shimizu to jiro.

“nothing just wanted to ask about it mother” said jiro. After their conversation, they all went to the living room to have some tea. They also told them that their rooms had already been arranged by the maids that morning so if they want to have some rest they could do so. Jiro went to the baby room to check on his daughter if she now awake since during that time of the afternoon, Melissa always wakes up.
