Chapter 12

(Cassie's POV)

I gasped at the large wolf that was in my room. I clutched my bathrobe, my hair still wet. I jumped onto the bed and swallowed hard. The big brown wolf shifted back into his human form and I looked away from his naked body.

“Well hello there little Luna,” he said with a smirk. “Why, you have your mother's lovely eyes.”

“Stay back!” I cried.

He raised his hands in surrender.

“Oh so brave” he teased. “I see the Alpha's hot headedness is rubbing off on you.”

I clutched the robe tighter.

“What do you want?” I stammered.

“Oh that's really easy” he snarled, slowly circling the bed. “You!”

His eyes flashed red.

“Jace!” I screamed.

The man laughed at me.

“Oh, he's not coming, child.”

At that point, I began to cry. I didn't sign up for wolves and threats.

“Just go away!” I screamed and threw pillows at him.

One hit him in the face. The man growled and began to circle the bed. In a flash, he shifted back into his wolf form and licked his lips.

“No” I whispered.

He pou
