Katrina’s POV

The soft light of morning spilled into the room through the curtains, casting a gentle glow across the bed. I blinked slowly, letting my eyes adjust as I turned my head and saw Liam lying beside me. He looked so peaceful, his face relaxed, one arm tucked under the pillow while the other was draped lightly over my waist. My chest swelled with something warm and soft as I stared at him, not wanting to disturb the quiet moment.

I reached out and gently brushed my fingers against his cheek, smiling to myself. How did I get so lucky?

As if he could sense me watching, his eyes fluttered open, sleepy but full of affection. A small smile tugged at his lips.

“Morning,” he murmured in that deep, husky voice that always made my stomach flip.

“Morning,” I whispered back.

For a while, we didn’t move. We just lay there, tangled up in the stillness and in each other, savoring the last few moments before we had to face the day. Then, Liam leaned over and kissed my forehead softly.

  • Marked By Fate: The Alpha Who Loved Me   CHAPTER 105

Katrina’s POVNot just a soft light. It was like silver fire had wrapped around my fingers and palms, flickering like tiny flames. It was warm but didn’t hurt me. It felt… powerful. Like it belonged to me.The rogue man stared up at me with wide, terrified eyes.“No… no, what is that? What are you?” he screamed. But I didn’t stop.I pushed harder, letting the flames burst from my palms and into his skin. He screamed as the fire scorched his face and chest, his body thrashing beneath me.“Stop! No, please!” he begged, but I couldn’t stop.I wouldn’t.Tears streamed down my face, not from sadness—but from everything. Fear. Anger. Power. It all mixed together and poured out of me through the silver flames.“I’m not your prey,” I whispered through clenched teeth. “And I’m not afraid of you.”The flames got louder, crackling and roaring like a storm. They were all around the man now, like they had a life of their own. They moved like angry waves, wrapping around him and climbing up his bod

Katrina’s POV“What the hell?” he muttered, voice sharp and alert.I sat up straight, my heart skipping a beat. “What is it?” I asked, already looking ahead. That’s when I saw them. Two wolves stood in the middle of the road, completely still, like statues. Their eyes glowed a faint yellow in the sunlight. My stomach dropped. I couldn’t move for a second—my mind froze. I was staring at something that looked too familiar.Déjà vu slammed into me.Just like before. Just like that night. The night my mother and I had run for our lives from Alpha Jacob’s pack. A rogue wolf had blocked the road. My mom had swerved to avoid it. We crashed. Then came the others. They dragged my mother out of the car. She fought, but they were too many. I had screamed, cried, begged—but nothing had saved her.My breathing turned shaky. I couldn’t stop the memory from playing again in my head like it had just happened yesterday.Liam cursed again and hit the brakes hard. The tires screeched as the car came to

  • Marked By Fate: The Alpha Who Loved Me   Chapter 102

Katrina’s POVOnce we stepped inside, Liam closed the door behind us and locked it. I let out a small breath, finally able to relax fully. My feet were a little sore from standing and dancing, and I slipped out of my shoes with a quiet sigh. Liam stretched and pulled off his shirt, tossing it onto the chair in the corner. I grabbed one of my oversized sleep shirts and went into the bathroom to change. When I came back out, Liam was already in bed, lying back against the pillows in his sweatpants, waiting for me. His silver eyes followed my every movement, and when I climbed into bed beside him, he reached out and pulled me close.I laid my head on his chest, and he wrapped his arms around me like I was something fragile and precious. His skin was warm against mine, and I could hear his heartbeat beneath my ear—steady and strong. We weren’t sleepy yet, so we just started talking in soft voices. We talked about the ceremony and how beautiful it had been. How amazing it was to be surround

  • Marked By Fate: The Alpha Who Loved Me   Chapter 101

Katrina’s POVHe led me gently into the middle of the clearing, his hand never letting go of mine. The soft music filled the night air, blending with the quiet murmurs of laughter, the rustle of leaves in the trees, and the occasional crackle from the bonfire nearby. Above us, little lanterns swung lazily on strings tied between tree branches, glowing like tiny floating moons, casting golden light on everything below. The clearing felt almost magical, like we had stepped into a dream.Around us, pack members swayed in each other’s arms, dancing slowly, smiling, completely lost in their own little worlds. But even with all the people around us, I only saw him.Liam.My mate.My heart was still beating a little too fast, partly from the strange encounter with Mama Claire, partly because Liam was holding me like I was the most important thing in the world. I tried to push away the cold feeling that had crawled into my chest when she looked at me with those wide, blind eyes. Her warning fr
