Natalia:

“Damien?”

I walked down the stairs, or more specifically, limped, to find the house’s lights dimmed down, and the stairs decorated with white roses and ribbons as if it were a bride’s aisle.

The smell of food gave the house a warmer aroma, and the scent of different men and women filled my nostrils making me frown in confusion. All of them seemed to be either talking, working, giving or taking orders.

“Good afternoon” Isabella said cheerfully. The woman has been head over heels since she found out that Damien and I completed our mating. I didn’t blame her, she was excited for her son’s sake, and I was happy to have been on her good side even before we mated.

“What is going on?” Everyone was either talking or working on something. But regardless, no one was sitting down like they usually would as to wait for the kids to get back from school.
