I walked out of Lucian's room, feeling a mix of emotions swirling inside me. The almost-kiss still lingered in my mind, and I couldn't help but wonder what would have happened if Jace hadn't interrupted us.

As I made my way back to my dorm, I quickened my pace, eager to get out of the hallway and process my thoughts in private. The cool air hit me as I walked, and I felt a shiver run down my spine.

Once I reached my dorm, I burst through the door, relieved to be alone. I leaned against the door, letting out a deep breath. My heart was still racing from the encounter with Lucian, and I couldn't shake off the feeling that my life was about to change in ways I couldn't even imagine.

I pushed away from the door and headed to my closet, rummaging through my clothes for something comfortable to wear.

As I changed, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and couldn't help but smile. My cheeks were still flushed from the encounter with Lucian, and my eyes sparkled with a mix of excitem

My eyes lit up at the news, and I jumped up from my seat. "That means Ruby will be alright too!" I exclaimed. "I have to go see her."Lucian opened his mouth to say something, but I was already hurrying out of the room, not waiting for his response. "I'll catch up with you guys later," I called out, already halfway out the door.As I exited, I heard Elias's chuckling voice behind me. "Well, I guess we interrupted something." Lucian's response was lost to me, but I could imagine his frustrated expression.I didn't care, though. I was too excited to see Ruby and make sure she was doing okay. I hurried out of the dorm, my heart filled with hope and anticipation. As I walked to the healers' quarters, I couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. I was excited to see Ruby and make sure she was doing okay, but at the same time, I was scared. What if she hadn't healed properly? As I continued eating, Lucian's eyes never left mine, his gaze lingering on my lips, my cheeks, and my hair. I felt like I was basking in the warmth of his adoration, and it made me feel alive."You're really enjoying staring at me, aren't you?" I asked, trying to sound casual despite the butterflies in my stomach.Lucian's smile grew wider, and he leaned back in his chair, his eyes still fixed on me. "I'm enjoying watching you enjoy your food," he said, his voice low and husky. "But I have to admit, I'm also enjoying the way you smile when you eat. It's incredibly captivating."I felt my cheeks heat up at his words, and I looked down, trying to hide my blush. But Lucian was having none of it. He reached out and gently lifted my chin, his fingers brushing against my skin."Don't hide your smile from me, Elara," he said, his voice full of affection. "I want to see it every day, every hour, every minute."I looked up at him, my heart racing with excitement. I felt like I was melting und

I felt like a fool, looking around awkwardly and flushing even more as I realized he was talking to me. I tried to play it cool, but I could feel my face burning with embarrassment.Lucian, on the other hand, seemed completely at ease. He carried the pan to the dish on the table in the kitchen, expertly transferring the food without spilling a drop. "How was your night?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with amusement.I took a deep breath, trying to compose myself. "It was fine, thanks," I replied, trying to sound casual.Lucian raised an eyebrow. "Just fine?" he asked, his voice laced with skepticism.I shrugged, feeling a little more at ease. "Well, I did have some...interesting dreams," I admitted.Lucian's eyes lit up with interest. "Oh? What kind of dreams?" he asked, his voice low and husky.I felt another flush rise to my cheeks, but I tried to play it cool. "Just the usual stuff," I said, trying to downplay it.Lucian chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I'm sure it was

The next day, I woke up feeling a mix of emotions. As I lay in bed, the warm sunlight streamed through the window, casting a gentle glow on my face. The scent of freshly cooked food wafted through the air, mingling with the sweet aroma of blooming flowers. The fresh air filled my lungs, invigorating my senses. But despite the peaceful atmosphere, my body ached in various places. My muscles felt sore, and my head throbbed with a dull headache. I winced as I sat up, rubbing my temples in an attempt to alleviate the discomfort.I slowly swung my legs over the side of the bed, testing my body's response. Every movement seemed to send a ripple of pain through my muscles. I gritted my teeth, determined to push through the discomfort. As I stood up, a wave of dizziness washed over me, forcing me to grab onto the bedframe for support. I took a few deep breaths, waiting for the sensation to pass. It was clear that I had gone through a lot the previous day, and my body was still recovering. As

I stood there, frozen in shock, as my wolf's words echoed in my mind. "Jace, Mate!" What?! My mind was reeling. How was this possible? First, it was Caelan then Lucian, now Jace? I felt like my wolf was playing some kind of cruel joke on me.I looked at Jace, who was still smiling at me, oblivious to the turmoil brewing inside me. His eyes seemed to bore into my soul, and I felt a shiver run down my spine. How could my wolf think he was my mate?I tried to process this new information, but my mind was a jumbled mess. Caelan, Lucian, Jace, mates, secrets... it was all too much to handle. I felt like I was losing my grip on reality."Isla, are you okay?" Jace asked, his voice laced with concern.I nodded, trying to play it cool, but inside, I was freaking out. "Yeah, I'm fine," I lied. But I wasn't fine. I was far from fine.I felt awkward standing there, trying to process the revelation about Jace being my mate. To break the tension, I nodded towards the dorm door. "We're here," I said

Lucian called out to me, his voice low and gentle. "Isla?"I was still in a daze, lost in my thoughts about Adrian and the situation with Darius. When Lucian touched my arm, I flinched, my heart racing."What?" I asked, looking up at him with a mixture of confusion and concern.Ryder and Elias had already left, and it was just Lucian and Jace standing with me. Lucian's eyes were filled with worry as he looked at me."Are you okay?" he asked, his voice soft.I nodded, trying to shake off the feeling of unease. "Yeah, I'm fine," I replied.Lucian's expression was skeptical, but he didn't push the issue. Instead, he suggested, "You should move into my dorm room."I raised an eyebrow, surprised by the suggestion. "Why?" I asked.Lucian's reasoning was practical. "This dorm has been burnt down, and it's not safe for you to stay here. It's better if you stay in my dorm room, where I can keep an eye on you."I hesitated, unsure of what to do. Staying in Lucian's dorm room would mean being cl
