Aria’s POV

I ran.

My lungs burned with every breath, the cold air of the corridors cutting my skin like glass, but the vibration in my blood gave me a terrifying amount of energy. I didn't head for the safety of my room; I headed for the room where I had left the so-called perfect Vaelor family.

I burst through the double doors, my hair standing on different ends and my chest heaving. The Grand Luna was still seated, calmly sipping tea as if the world weren't ending a few hundred yards away.

  • Marked By Two   No surrender

Cassian’s POVThe words hung in the air like a death sentence. “I choose Noah.”A wave of relief washed over me so violently I nearly stumbled, but it was immediately swallowed by a cold, fear. I didn't want her blood on my hands. I didn't want to be the one to break her. But as I looked at my twin, I saw a version of Noah I had never seen in twenty-five years.Noah looked paralyzed. His eyes were wide, his chest heaving as if he’d been struck. He wasn't the stoic Alpha anymore; he looked like a man watching his own heart be led to the altar. He was terrified. Then, I saw it.A faint, smudged streak of red lipstick on the corner of Noah’s lower lip. It wasn't blood. It was the exact shade of the lipstick Aria had been wearing earlier. My stomach did a slow, nauseating flip. They had kissed. In the middle of this nightmare, while the estate was still cooling from a massacre, my brother, the so called perfect one, had finally broken. I should have felt a sting of jealousy and I d

  • Marked By Two   A tough choice

Aria’s POV“How dare you!” The Grand Luna’s voice shrieked, her face burning a bright red. The control queen was gone, replaced by a woman trembling with a fury so raw it bordered on madness. “This estate is my home!”I didn't flinch. “No, it’s not. It’s your sons' home, not yours. You’re a guest here, just like you claim I am.”The Grand Luna spun around, her golden eyes darting to Noah, then to Cassian, pleading for them to strike me down or silence me. But they both kept their gazes away, their expressions frozen like statues. It was as if her words weren't even their problem anymore. The silence of her own flesh and blood was a louder insult than anything I could have said.Elena, who had been quiet since the Council member pointed at her stomach, finally stepped forward. ”Aria, you have no right to send the Grand Luna away. Hell, she’s the Grand Luna!”“Shhhh,” the Council member hushed her, his finger raised in a dismissive, mocking gesture. “Why don’t you face your own pr

  • Marked By Two   Court of Wolves

Aria’s POVI walked down the grand staircase with my hand still tucked under Cassian's elbow. It felt like a haunting repetition of the night at the gala. The last time I had walked this path, I was a girl with a stolen mark and a misguided cousin. Today, I was a woman with a restored mark and a target on my back.At the bottom of the stairs, the air felt frozen. Noah stood by a corner, his expression a wall of unreadable Alpha stone. Beside him, Elena stood with her chin high, her eyes flashing with a disapproval she didn't bother to hide. The drawing room had been scrubbed of blood, but the scent of ozone and silver still clung to the curtains. The Grand Luna sat in her usual chair; the High Council member, the one who had been at the bar during the massacre, sat by her right. He looked remarkably composed for a man who had drunk through a war."Finally," the Grand Luna said, her voice like a gavel striking wood. "Now that the cause of our misfortune has joined us, perhaps the

  • Marked By Two   Judgement day

Aria’s POVThe silk of my dress was a deep, bruised red, the exact shade of the gown I had worn the night of the gala. The night my life shattered. As I stared at my reflection, the fabric felt like a second skin, a reminder of the girl who had been betrayed and the woman who had survived. My fingers traced the skin just above my collarbone. It was there again. The Mark, burning with a steady, silver light. I was finally free from the void. I closed my eyes, and for a moment, I was back in that crumbling drawing room, the air was thick with the smell of blood and wet fur. I remembered the weight of Maeve in my arms, the desperate, crushing hug that had acted as a bridge. I had felt the darkness drain out of me, flowing back into her like water returning to a poisoned well.“I’m sorry,” I had whispered as Maeve slumped against me, her pulse fading like a dying candle. I had screamed for Elena, begged her to use the healing skills she bragged about to save my cousin, even as Julia

I didn't head for the safety of my room; I headed for the room where I had left the so-called perfect Vaelor family.I burst through the double doors, my hair standing on different ends and my chest heaving. The Grand Luna was still seated, calmly sipping tea as if the world weren't ending a few hundred yards away. Elena was standing by the window, her hand resting protectively over her stomach."The estate," I gasped, clutching the doorframe to keep from collapsing. "It’s under attack. The southern wall is down. Noah is at the breach... he’s fighting ferals."The Grand Luna didn't even set her cup down. She looked at me with a slow, chilling boredom. "Sit down, girl. Your hysterics are tiresome. The Vaelor estate has silver-lined wards that have stood for three generations. It cannot be under attack by

  • Marked By Two   The Breach

Aria’s POVThe words on the parchment seemed to burn into my skin. The fever is the Vaelor brothers trying to lock your power away. The realization hit me harder than the sickness had. Everything they’d told me, Noah’s protective distance, Cassian’s desperate jealousy, it wasn't just about my safety. It was about containment. They didn't want me to die; they wanted me to stay small, quiet, and powerless.I looked toward my bedroom door, listening. The house was unnervingly still, save for the muffled, rhythmic thud of guards’ boots patrolling the hall. Noah and Cassian were likely still downstairs, trapped in the web of lies spun by their mother and Elena.I stood up, my legs feeling steadier than they had in days. The vibration in my veins wasn't painful anymore; it felt like a dark thrill. I didn't grab a coat. I didn't grab anything. I slipped out of my room, moving through the shadows of the hallway with a silence that surprised even me. My footsteps felt like smoke on the
