Rose’s Pov

Jackson finally gave up the ghost. His eyes were wide open but it was empty. I heard his last breath echo faintly in the cave before silence took over. No one moved for a few minutes. The air got heavy and filled with the thick smell of blood and the bitter sting of death.

Then, Diva let out a sharp and broken scream that broke the silence. “No!” She cried, her voice trembling with pain.

She ran forward and dropped to her knees beside Jackson’s lifeless body. Her fingers were trembling as she touched his face, shaking him as if she could wake him up. “Please,” she sobbed, her voice breaking. “Please, Jackson, come back to me. Don’t leave me like this. Please!”

Her cries were filled with despair and it kept echoing through the cave. It was very painful to watch, but I couldn’t feel sorry for her. Not after everything she had helped him do. Still, I couldn’t ignore the raw grief in her voice.
