MYCA’S POV

Gusto kong umalis na agad pagkalapit sa amin ng mga magulang ni Ian. His mother is smiling from ear to ear as if she is delighted by what she sees right in front of her eyes. Ian kissed his parents before he stood up beside me again. He tried to utter some word, probably trying to introduce me first, but both of us kept quiet when his mother immediately held my hands and looked at me as if I am the present she has always dreamed to have, and finally she got a hold of this unparalleled gift. Kinabahan na agad ako sa kanyang mga ngiti at matamang pagtitig sa akin.

“Ma, si Myca---” Ian tried to introduce me.

“Yes! I know her!” His mother cut his words off.

Pakiramdam ko ay nakikita ko ang pagningning sa mga mata ni Mrs. Tessimond. Habang ako ay kinakain na ng matinding kaba.

I forced a smile at her. “H-Hello po…”

Pwede na akong magpalamon sa lupa. Sa dinami-dami ng pwedeng sabihin at ibati sa kanya ay iyon lang ang mga katagang lumabas sa aking bibig dahil nablangk
