Dani shoved down the wave of nausea that tried the push its way up her throat. She didn't have time for any of that. If she survived the attack she would worry about what the way she had been feeling these past few days might mean.

She hadn't gone into heat. What were the odds of getting pregnant if she hadn't gone into heat when she was with Luca? Hell, she'd never gone into heat once in her entire life. Privately, she'd believed it was because Harding had done something to break her body, between the hard physical abuse and the injections.
