Late bloomer

The ringing of her alarm made her grumble in her sleep before turning it off.

She had cursed the inventor of that specific alarm in her room.

Rubbing her eyes sleepily, she still felt like sleeping but she had to go to school.

She doesn't know when Emily would return, but she wasn't told not to attend school, so she had to prepare for school.

After brushing her teeth and taking her bath, she headed to the kitchen and took some slices of bread before walking into her room to get dressed in her uniform.

After brushing her hair and making it fall over her neck in order to conceal the marking, she picked her backpack from where she had left it yesterday.

She wasn't given an assignment so she had no reason to open it throughout yesterday.

Stepping out of the house, she banged the door like she does to her former house before walking out the gate.

But she didn't enjoy the noise it made, as she had expected it to vibrate as though chills had run through it like her old house does, but
