Amelia scattered everything she could find in the room, breaking equipment, throwing things against the wall, screaming and shouting hysterically. “Where is she?” Her body grew restless as she failed to recognize the unfamiliar environment, panic clawing at her chest as she shifted uncontrollably between wolf and human, tearing pieces of her clothes in the process. Nothing felt real, nothing felt right, and it only made the rage worse. She grabbed whatever her hands touched and destroyed it without thinking, glass shattering, metal clanging, until there was nothing left within reach. Her strength finally gave out and she slumped to the floor, weakly covering her face as her tears spilled out, her shoulders shaking. Where is that bitch? Where are those people? Her voice cracked, but there was no answer. Slowly, her eyes faded back to their original green, the anger sinking but not disappearing.Melissa rushed inside. After meeting Dante and spending some time with him, she had returned to the infirmary, but as she approached Myra’s ward, the noise coming from inside made her heart jump. She hurried forward and pushed the door open, only to freeze at the sight before her. The entire room was in ruins, shards of glass scattered everywhere, broken vases lying in pieces, flowers crushed and littered across the floor, curtains torn down, and even parts of the wall cracked from the impact of whatever had been thrown. At the edge of the room, a girl curled into herself, leaning weakly against the wall like she had nothing left in her.

“Myra…” Melissa said softly as she carefully stepped closer, her voice cautious, not wanting to trigger her again.

Myra slowly looked up, her eyes dull and lifeless at first, like she wasn’t fully there. For a second, she just stared at the unfamiliar figure in front of her, confusion flickering across her face, and then suddenly, her eyes turned amber.

Before Melissa could even react, Myra lunged forward and grabbed her by the neck, slamming her back as her grip tightened instantly.

“Where is she?” Amelia’s voice echoed through the room, low and dangerous, filled with something unstable. “Where is Lyka?”

Melissa’s head spun as fear took over completely. She had never fought anyone in her life, never even needed to. She was always protected, always safe, a pampered princess who never had to face anything like this. Even though she was a Lycan and stronger than most, none of that mattered right now. Her hands came up instinctively to pry Myra’s grip away, but it didn’t budge. Tears filled her eyes as her breathing became shallow, panic rising with every second.

Amelia’s anger only grew, her grip tightening even more as she waited for an answer that wasn’t coming. “Where is she?” she demanded again, her voice louder this time, shaking with rage.

Then suddenly, an unexpected force struck her from behind.

Her body went still for a second before all the strength left her, and she collapsed to the floor, unconscious.

Melissa dropped weakly the moment the grip released, gasping for air as she held her throat, coughing as her lungs struggled to work again. Dante rushed to her side immediately, pulling her close and steadying her as she leaned into him, still shaking.

“Shh… it’s okay. It’s over,” he murmured softly, trying to calm her down as her breathing slowly evened out, though her eyes still flickered with fear as she glanced at Myra’s unconscious body on the floor.

“Ughh… I’m so bored. These Lycans are messing with us, leaving us unattended for so long.” Lyka sat on the bed with her arms folded, complaining loudly as Aiden stood by the window, staring out at the scenery like he didn’t even hear her. “We are the strongest pack, yet they ignore us like this. Are you even listening to me?” she added, frowning deeply when he gave no response.

“Aiden!”

He shut his eyes briefly, his patience already worn thin, before speaking in an exasperated tone, the tiredness in his eyes obvious. “Can you just shut up? Stay quiet for five minutes so I can think properly.”

The mate rejection had taken more out of him than he expected, and marking Lyka almost immediately only made things worse. His wolf was still restless, still recovering from losing its true mate before being forced into another bond, and it left him constantly irritated, constantly on edge.

Without waiting for her response, Aiden turned and walked out of the room.

The moment the door shut behind him, Lyka’s expression darkened completely. Her anger snapped, sharp and immediate. She stood up and began smashing everything within reach, her eyes shifting to a light brown hue as frustration took over.

“All this is that bitch’s fault. Everything went wrong because of her.” She clenched her fists tightly, her nails digging into her palms as her breathing grew heavier.

Back in the infirmary, Matteo stepped out after hearing the noise, his instincts already alert, then walked back in to check on Myra again. His eyes scanned the room slowly, taking in the destruction, the broken glass, the ruined space, the lingering tension in the air.

“What happened here?” he asked, his voice calm but edged with something darker underneath.

Melissa stood there, her bruises already healed, but her face still pale, still shaken from what had just happened. She swallowed hard, trying to steady herself before speaking.

“Your mate… woke up.”

Lyka’s voice carried irritation as she folded her arms, clearly displeased. “I just got married, Dad. I haven’t even had my honeymoon yet, and you’re already sending me away. Don’t you want grandchildren? And now you want me to go to the Lycan Kingdom of all places? I’ve heard how they treat outsiders, I’m not going to throw myself into a place full of people who look down on us.” Ryan’s fist slammed hard against the table, the sound echoing through the dining hall as everyone froze. “Enough,” he said, his voice low but filled with anger. “I have had enough of your complaints. Those same Lycans you are insulting are the reason you live the life you enjoy so much. Their wealth funds your comfort, your luxury, every single thing you take for granted. If you want to keep living like this with your designer clothes and your expensive lifestyle, then you will drop that attitude and do what is required of you.”Lyka’s lips pressed together, her pride clearly bruised, but she lowered her hea

Only then did he look at Melissa. “Check her.”Melissa blinked, clearly caught off guard. “Brother… you’re actually asking about someone’s condition?” she teased lightly, but the look on his face wiped the smile off hers instantly.“Don’t waste my time,” he said coldly.“Alright, alright,” she muttered, raising her hands slightly before stepping forward to examine Myra properly. “What do you mean you’re withdrawing?” Alpha Ryan’s voice rose sharply as he stood from his seat, the phone clenched tightly in his hand. “We’ve already channeled a significant amount of resources into this project. You can’t just back out halfway and expect us to cover everything.”On the other end, Carl let out a soft chuckle, completely unbothered. “Your understanding seems… selective, Alpha Ryan. The Lycan Kingdom never signed a contract with you.”Ryan’s jaw tightened. “It has always been a yearly donation,” Carl continued smoothly. “How that turned into a ‘binding agreement’ on your end is quite… interesting.” Ryan’s expression darkened.“Furthermore,” Carl added, his tone sharpening slightly, “our investigations suggest that you’ve been making moves to transfer portions of the land into your personal name.”“So tell me,” Carl went on calmly, “who exactly is breaching trust here?”Ryan said nothing, but his grip on the phone tightened. “The Crimson Moon Pack is one of the richest

The wind roared in Myra’s ears as she fell, her body weightless, her mind strangely quiet, as though everything that had once hurt her had finally gone still. The pain from the broken bond lingered faintly in her chest, but even that was fading, swallowed by the emptiness consuming her. Her eyes fluttered shut as darkness rose to meet her, and for the first time in a long while, she felt nothing.Miles away, Matteo stilled abruptly, his grip tightening around the glass in his hand as something unfamiliar struck deep within him, sharp and urgent, like a pull he could neither ignore nor understand. His expression darkened as he straightened, his senses sharpening instantly. “Stop the car,” he ordered, his voice low and commanding, and the vehicle halted at once. He stepped out into the cold night air, that strange feeling intensifying, dragging him in a single direction, and without hesitation, he moved, his speed fast and inhuman as instinct took over. The closer he got, the stronger i
