Chapter 7

After hearing Lucian's words, Natalie felt very upset. She wanted to leave immediately, but when she remembered her Mother's last words. She closed her eyes and thought something, then she took Lucian to his room.

As soon as she entered Lucian's room, Natalie felt like she had entered a mafia room where there was no colour except black. The bed sheets, window curtains, if in the furniture everything in the room was all black. Natalie noticed that Lucian had a study room and a gym room attached to the bedroom "Go to the bathroom and prepare everything," Lucian told Natalie, and Natalie entered the bathroom without saying a word.

John entered the room and took out clothes from the wardrobe and helped Lucian change clothes.

Natalie was about to call Lucian after checking the water temperature. Just then, she saw Lucian entering the bathroom. Lucian was not wearing anything, only a white towel wrapped dangerously around his waist. Natalie was surprised to see Lucian's six-pack abs and perfect figure. She thought that Lucian might have stopped taking care of his body and going to the gym after the accident. "Step aside if you are done checking out me. Natalie realized that Lucian could not enter the bathtub because his legs were paralyzed. Lucian tried one last time and sat on the bathtub. Natalie could no longer watch silently, she reached out and touched Lucian's leg to help him.

By touching his leg, Natalie realized that the condition of his leg was very bad. His leg had turned black and the veins were red as if blood had clotted. Natalie realized that the blood circulation in his leg had stopped due to the blood clot in the vein. Natalie pressed his leg to better understand the condition of his leg. Although Lucian could not feel any sensation in his leg, but even he was very angry when he saw a girl touching his leg. "Remove your hand immediately," Lucian shouted at him in anger. Lucian felt that Natalie was pressing on his leg on purpose.

When Natalie was leaving the room, she saw all of Lucian's medical reports placed on the table. Natalie saw a kind of helplessness in Lucian's eyes, which was the helplessness of not being able to do normal things. Looking at the medical reports, a kind of regret suddenly started working in Natalie's heart. She took out her phone from her pocket, took pictures of Lucian's medical reports, and quickly left the room. Natalie entered her room and looked at the pictures on the phone carefully. After reading everything carefully for about half an hour, she realized that Lucian's leg condition was really bad. For the past six months, he had seen numerous doctors and had tests for his leg, but there was no improvement in his leg.

Natalie placed the phone on the bed and stood in front of the window. She looked out the window and saw John pushing the wheelchair towards the car. Natalie had always seen that person who was constantly requesting her for treatment and despite having the ability, she kept saying no to him.

The veins in his legs are almost dead and the contaminated blood is pooling in those veins. If this contaminated blood goes to the right place, the good veins will stop working and his whole body will slowly become paralyzed. As a doctor, will I let a patient become paralyzed without treatment?" Thinking about these things, Natalie's head started to hurt. Natalie, not knowing what to do, started pacing around the room restlessly. Just then, someone knocked on the door.

"Come in." Natalie gave permission and a servant entered the room.

"Mrs. Center, breakfast is ready. Will you come to the dining room for breakfast or shall I bring your breakfast to your room?" The servant asked in a polite voice.

"There is no need to bring it to my room. I will go to the dining room and have breakfast," Natalie replied with a smile.

Hearing Natalie's words, the servant smiled softly and left the room. After the servant left the room, Natalie picked up her phone from the bed and came out of the room.

Natalie entered the dining room and took a seat. The servant served a very simple breakfast. Natalie started eating breakfast without saying anything.

"Ma'am, if you don't like this breakfast, you can tell me, and I will prepare your favourite breakfast. Actually, we don't know what you don't like to eat, so we have made a very simple breakfast for you," The servant said.

"For me, food is something that is eaten only to survive, not to enjoy. I have no problem with food. You can make breakfast as you wish," Natalie said and started eating breakfast.

The servants were very surprised to hear Natalie's words, but no one said anything.

After finishing breakfast, a message came to Natalie's phone. Natalie read the message and went to her room and got ready. After getting ready, she came downstairs.

"Mrs. Center, are you going anywhere?" The Butler looked at Natalie and asked.

"I have some work to do. I will be back very soon," Natalie said and left. After leaving the house, Natalie hailed a taxi and got up. She took out her phone from her bag and called Lina. Lina answered the phone as it rang. "Boss, where are you? The patient's condition is very bad. He needs to be operated on quickly," Lina said in a worried voice.

"Take the patient to the operation theatre and get everything ready; I am coming," Natalie said hung up the call and told the driver to drive quickly.

Hearing Natalie's words, the driver started driving quickly, and after 20 minutes, the taxi stopped in front of a small hospital. Natalie quickly got out of the taxi, paid the fare and ran into the hospital. Since the patient had already been taken to the operation theatre on Natalie's instructions, Natalie quickly changed her clothes and entered the operation theatre without delay.

Matthew looked at Damien, but before he could say anything, Lucian stopped his Grandfather.
