IN THE HOSPITAL...
I looked ashamedly at the floor, Anthony was being stupidly rude to the Bennet family's private doctor, for kindly asking who I was, he was holding my hand gently.
Anthony made me feel like the invisible woman, as if it didn't matter, to be introduced to Leontius, even if he was just a doctor.
"You know I have a beautiful wife waiting for me at home, Anthony. I'm not a fake" Leontius didn't let go of my hand. "But you already know that," he smiled. "She's important, and I understand jealousy, so I won't be angry" he winked and pulled me away.
Leontius acted politely.
I was going to start treatment today, which was boring but would solve one of my problems. He showed confidence that I would get well and soon have several children, which was another thing I would have to sort out with Anthony.
A son would tie me to the Bennet family forever.
