Dylan narrates.

Four long years had passed without Helen, four years where day by day he had tried to forget her; but for me damn luck I had not succeeded. The chestnut had gotten into the depths of my being, making her remember her every minute.

I knew that she had graduated as a nurse, and that she was working for a recognized agency. All of this had been told to me by a private investigator that she had hired, besides, I also learned that she had a son. It hurt my soul to know that she had made her life, but with whom? She always asked me the same thing. He had sent his boyfriend to investigate, and the jerk had gone to a town in Texas, so doubts began to come to my head. Why, if they loved each other so much, didn't she go with him? Why did they separate? I didn't understand shit, and I didn't want to force myself to understand either.
