Rylan POV

“Sir Rylan, I think this is best for her. Dark red will suit you and her.” Liam suggested, as he held Aurora's dress.

“No, Liam. I want something classy. Give me something not too skin revealing.” I said, and flinged the dress he gave me.

His face turned sour, “Rylan!! You are crazy!! If not, you are my friend. Do you think you can boss around a top designer like me!! People waiting for me to pick a dress will line up to France!! ” He barked. As he turned away angrily.

“Aurora has body scars on her back. So revealing clothes is a bad idea.

“Don't you trust my magic? I will cover it up with makeup.” He said, trying to reassure me.

I stood in front of the tall wardrobe, running my hand over the line of evening dresses carefully picked by Liam earlier. Most of them were too flashy, not like Aurora's calmness. I wanted her to stand out, yes, but not in a way that would turn her into an easy target for whispers. My fingers stopped on a sleek ivory dress, elegant but simple, the k

  • Marriage of Deceit   TWO LOVE BRAIN

NiCKY POVI burst back into the room, my chest heaving, my heart racing like it wanted to tear out of me. “Aurora,” I said quickly, eyes darting between them. “You need to come now.”She asked. “What is it?”I said breathlessly. “Rylan… and Blarke. They’re outside. What should I do or say to them?”Aurora’s head snapped up immediately. Her eyes were red, and swollen from crying.“Kick them away,” she said coldly. “I don’t want to see either of them.”Before I could respond, Aaliyah slowly rose to her feet.“No,” she said quietly but with a strength that made the room go still. “You don’t have to see them. I will.”Aurora grabbed her wrist. “Mum! Why? Those people don't deserve to be close to us anymore. They are evil..we should get Blarke arrested for murder.”She held her hand and smiled. “It's fine Aurora. I am no longer scared of him. I have you now. I will make sure he will pay for his crimes.”Aurora said to me, “Nicky, go with her. Please.”I nodded instantly. I wouldn’t leave

  • Marriage of Deceit   REUNION

Aurora POVI curled into myself on the edge of the bed, the room blurring through tears I could no longer control. My hands trembled as they rested over my stomach, fingers digging into the fabric of my gown as if I could hold myself together by force alone.Everything hurts. My chest, My memories, My heart. Everything I knew was a lie.The walls felt too close, the air too heavy. No matter how hard I tried to breathe, it felt like grief had lodged itself inside my lungs.A soft knock sounded on the door.“Aurora?” Nicky’s voice came through gently. “Can I come in? Please.”I didn’t answer, I couldn’t say a word. The sound of my own sobbing filled the silence instead. I pressed my face into the pillow, my shoulders shaking as another wave of pain crashed through me. Twenty-three years of questions. Twenty-three years of longing. And now..answers that felt heavier than the absence ever did. If I knew I wouldn't have listened to the truth. Now Rylan and I can't be together anymore.Th

  • Marriage of Deceit   ONLY THE Dead CAN'T SPEAK

ORLA AND ROSALIE Orla burst out of the mansion gates laughing..laughing so hard tears gathered at the corners of her eyes. The night air was cold, but it did nothing to cool the thrill racing through her veins. She pulled out her phone the moment she reached the driveway. “Mum,” she said breathlessly the second the call connected. “Did you see her?” Fiona’s voice crackled through, amused. “Who? Aurora? How was the little show?” Orla laughed louder. “She cried like an abandoned baby. Oh God…she cried. Like her entire world collapsed in one night. If you had seen her face…” She paused, savoring it. “That marriage is finished,” Orla continued smugly. “She tried to leave but Rylan refused. I think Rylan is a dead love brain. He can't think properly like a man. She brought in her guards so they fought his guards, because of his resistance. It was all chaos. Mum, you missed a show.” “And?” Fiona pressed eagerly. “And in the end,” Orla said, grinning, “he let her go.” On the oth

  • Marriage of Deceit   LOVE THAT GREW

RYLAN POVThe mansion was buzzing with people.voices overlapping, laughter chiming, different caliber of people gathering beneath one gilded roof. Guests of every caliber filled the grand hall: old-money dynasties, modern billionaires, foreign royalty, and the untouchable one percent. This was not just a celebration; it was a statement I wanted to give.Crystal chandeliers burned overhead, raining golden light onto silk gowns and perfectly tailored suits. Diamonds flashed from their necks and hands. Champagne flowed from each hand to another.Soft music drifted through the air, elegant and controlled, an orchestra tuned to one name.Blackwood!!Even as the host, as the man men feared and women admired, none of it held my attention. I noticed two women were winking at me even though they knew I was celebrating my wife's birthday.I whispered to Halvorsen, “Kick them out..they are a nuisance.”She nodded and went ahead to escort the women out.My gaze moved restlessly through the cro

  • Marriage of Deceit   FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN

AURORA POVA week had passed. It's been seven quiet days and I was afraid something was about to happen. I always felt anxious throughout the week. I was scared of shattering the fragile peace Rylan and I had rebuilt with trembling hands. It was my 24th birthday, and he wanted to celebrate it but I refused but he insisted. Since I was born I had never celebrated a birthday. I only watched at the corner while they celebrated Orla's birthday yearly. He said he wanted me to meet the upper class of Ireland, he wanted them to know who I was. Now, I sat on the velvet stool in our room, my legs crossed, watching Rylan stand in front of the open wardrobe like it was a battlefield he intended to conquer.“No,” he muttered, pulling out a midnight-blue dress. “It's too cold now and this is too explosive."He flicked the fabric aside and reached for another, soft ivory silk this time.Lifting it, he held it up against me, studying the way the color would fall against my skin. His brows knit slig
