Chapter 35: Show Me Your Guts

Eli lowered his head as he lightly chuckled. Though he was interrupted by the irritated Zacharias, he didn't mind since he understood his artist's temper.

“Apparently, I am.”

“I see. May I have a word with you then?” Zacharias impatiently said. He was clearly pissed with Eli's nonchalant attitude.

Since last night, Zacharias has been feeling jealous of Eli's relationship with Phyllis. He knew that it was pointless to worry. Eli is a good friend, and Phyllis is his wife. Though he and Phyllis are not intimately close, they have a bond (legally). So technically, even though it was one-sided, he still has the right to be jealous. And seeing them being friendly with each other made him a little bit uncomfortable. Perhaps it was because he wasn't feeling emotionally secure in the relationship. Still, he wants to settle this heavy feeling in his chest.
