Chapter 63: Grandma's Wishes

Zacharias woke up to the sound of his phone ringing. Before he picks up his phone, he glances at the woman beside him. His wife, Phyllis, is sleeping peacefully while hugging his body.

Now, there's no pillow separating them.

She's not hugging a pillow either.

It's just them under the sheets, closer than before.

He then reached out to his phone with his hand and pressed answer.

“Hello?” his raspy voice answered, still half-awake.

“G–good evening Aias, is it a bad time to call?” a weak voice asked over the phone.

Surprised by her sudden call, he instantly stiffened up. “Grandma! You're always welcome to call me whenever you want!” he energetically said.

“Well, I'm glad… I just… I called because I wanted to talk to you…”

Noticing that the old lady on the other line was having a hard time talking, he couldn't help but feel more worried. “Oh? Grandma, please do tell.”

“Aias, you know that any minute, I could leave you guys, right?”
