ELION

That dress was a distraction.

No. A problem.

And there was only one solution to problems—taking them out. I had planned the entire of tonight to go smoothly, introduce Rea to my members of the Elite Group, let the paparazzi takes some couple of pictures for the tabloids, and answer all questions cunningly

I had not accounted for the other things that happened tonight, and I'm not talking about Molly.

“So these rules...” Loretta begins, shifting slightly so the leather crinkles

I pull my eyes away from the road and steal a glance at her. My grip on the steering wheel tightened as a powerful urge gripped me

The urge to stop the car abruptly and rip something apart with my bare hands. Her? The dress? I didn't know which

The fine lines of her throat are disrupted by a hard swallow “You said they were rules"

In the dim light of my Aston Martin, the green of her eyes was darker, I caught a tiny bright fleck shimmering in them

“Yes," I grunted out, “You are in my prison now Rea. You live under my roof, you abide by my rules"

I managed to tear my gaze away from her face and back to the road. We were almost at the penthouse and that was good. I needed to be away from her as soon as possible

Loretta in that dammed dress was messing with my dammed mind. My jaw locked tight and my irritation built, not at her, but myself

I was wound tight for noticing all these little things about her when I shouldn't

“Rule one." I began, slowly and deliberately. "You will not ask me for space in public. You will be with me at every occasion that requires me showing you off, and you will stay by my side throughout it"

Her inhale was sharp “I am not a property you can fold into your pocket.”

“Are you forgetting you signed a contract, to keep up with this farce and be my wife?"

Loretta opened her mouth to argue, but I took a sharp bend around the block, making her yelp

“Such a reckless driver” she muttered under her breath

I pretended not to hear what she said, not because I tolerated the comment, but because I didn't have time to process my body's reaction to that small, throaty sound that left her red lips

“Rule two" I shot, in an attempt to get my head thinking straight again “You will not ask questions about my business. Not my meetings, not my calls, not the people I see. You are nothing more than a contract to me”

The colour drained from her face and I saw the effects my words had on her. Her chin wobbled, but she sat upright, willing herself not to be affected

It fùcking pissed me off

When I proposed the marriage contract, I thought I'd see George dragging a screaming girl into my office and forcing her to sign it. Heck, I even had a plan B, C, D, E, and F in case Loretta refused

But the person that I met days ago was a woman who was willing to accept her fate and fight it head-on. I wanted her reaction, her pain her suffering. I wanted her tears

And so I may have gone a little overboard with my rule

“Rule three, You report and seek permission from me. Wherever you go, whatever you do, you have to keep me informed. I don't want you leaving the penthouse without my permission, in return, you have access to the entire grounds except my room of course. Is that clear?”

A best passed. Two. There

Common Rea. Let me see you break

A resigned sigh left her lips “ I really am your prisoner now”

Not a question but an acknowledgement

The leather on the steering wheel crinkled underneath my grip “Get used to it”

Something moved in her eyes, something so fast I'm not quite sure what it was “I have a few rules of my own too”

I wanted to burst into a fit of laughter, and that itself was alarming. I. Do. Not. Laugh

“You don't make the rules baby. I do” I muttered darkly

“Rule one” she started on, as if I hadn't just told her who was in charge here “If we are going to keep up with this facade and pretend like we're a normal couple, then there are certain things we need to know about each other”

My teeth ground together, and even though technically she wasn't the one who made the rules, I found myself answering “Read the latest gossip blog. You'll find everything you need to know about me”

“No” she refused stubbornly “You and I are going to have dinner every night” She turned slightly so she was facing me, and then mocked my words from earlier “Like a couple in love”

A snort found its way past my lips. “The nerve of you to think I'd leave work early just to see your face”

My words hurt her. I saw it in the way her breath turned shallow but she remained composed

Fuck me sideways. This girl has thick skin. More importantly, why was I desperate to get underneath her dress...I mean skin tonight. I had a lifetime to ruin Loretta

She was mine. Irrevocably, unquestionably, fully.

“No not see my face. D-i-n-n-e-r dinner” she stressed as if she were talking to a child “You and me sharing a meal and having a conversation”

My jaw ticked once, I stared her down, and she held my gaze. “Not happening” I spat out “I would rather set my company on fire than share a meal with you”

Loretta muttered a prayer and rubbed her temples with those slender, manicured fingers “Elion—”

The gates of my penthouse opened and I sped in to the driveway “In case you're forgetting something very important let me remind you” I killed the cars engine, undid my seat belt and slid closer to her so she would feel the venom in my words, but that may have been the wrong decision, because by so doing, I inhaled a breathful of her floral scent

Sweet. Soft. Soothing.

Mouthwatering.

I hated it. Hated that I was now hyper aware of her perfume, the very tones of it ingrained in my mind

“This” I gestured between us “Is purely for retribution. You do not have one dammed say. You do not make the rules, and the only time I get to see you is on my own terms, asides that, I don't want you existing within a three-mile radius around me. Got it?” I finished with the snap of a finger

The green of her eyes was brighter, outshining the brown. She pursed her lips in a frown “One shared meal a day Elion, or you can stuff your rules up your uptight ass” she shot back, “And I pray to God it punctures a vital organ” With that, Loretta dashed out of the car

Leaving me seething with hot rage and a little bit of amusement

LORETTA We left by eight am on the dot Not a second late. The drive to Fitzpatrick Holdings took about fifteen minutes. That was fifteen minutes of quiet tension and silence Aside from a handful of questions to which he replied with grunts and unamused stares, we haven't communicated since last night I don't know if what we had this morning could be called communication though. I arrived at the table for breakfast, greeted Elion to whom he replied with a curt nod, I tried asking about some details of the company. His schedule, staff, and office protocols, but he gave me a deep scowl and that was itOur conversation ended before it beganEven now, as I sat across from him and watched his skilled hands maneuver the steering wheel, I couldn't help but acknowledge that this attitude affected me more than I wanted it to I lived most of my life feeling irrelevant, I thought nothing could and would faze me again, but every time Elion frowns at me, every time he shows his displeasure tow

ELION The elevator chimed softly, but at this time, in the quiet of my company, that sound felt louder than it should have But it wasn't loud enough to drown out the whooshing in my ears. I had long discarded my suit jacket and loosened my tie, but still, I felt very uncomfortable I could hear her soft footsteps making their way to my office, I leaned against my desk, my arms crossed and face blank, Underneath my unaffected exterior, I was seething I despised it when people disobeyed me, consciously or not. I always made sure to teach them a lesson and make sure they won't repeat such mistakesLoretta would be no different. She chose to defy my rules, leave the penthouse without my permission, and invade my company with her presence My pulse jumped when the doorknob to my office twisted, I ground my teeth, forcing my body under control It was my anger at her that sparked that small reaction, nothing more. Even after telling myself that, I couldn't help the sharp inhale that lef

LORETTA I didn't trust myself not to ruin tonight's dinner, so I left that part to Mrs Parks Twice during the day, I contemplated texting Elion to remind him about coming home for dinner, but each time I picked up my phone to do so, I couldn't.I didn't want him to notice I was getting desperate. Men like Elion were always observant of patters, if he suspected I was up to something, then I'm doneI've got only one shot to be free of him and regain freedom over my life. I wasn't messing this upDinner was ready by six fifty. Steaming hot chicken broth with vegetables and flaky tarts for dessert. I had showered, worn a nice dress, and was waiting for Elion to show up. My heart thumped with anticipation, waiting for the moment Elion would walk through the doors, shrug off his jacket, and throw a painful frown at the table while still joining me for dinner I already planned this all out in my head. Smile softly, ask him about work and hopefully get him to feel used to me. That was my

  • Married To A Billionaire Nightmare    Chapter 11

ELION Control was a non-negotiable tool in my worldEverything I did hung in my control. I prided myself on being a man who isn't easily fazed. Even when I was sentenced to three years in prison, nearly lost my company to my greedy family, and watched as my life went downhill in a split second, even then I didn't lose control Not in suffering, not in pain, not in business, and most certainly not over a woman Not just any woman, but the one I spent years plotting on how to take revenge against I stared ahead, at where a marketer was blabbing over a proposal I couldn't give two flying fucks about. It's past lunch break already, hours since I left the penthouse, yet, I'm still consumed by that conversation with her pinned against the wallI exhale, but when I close my eyes to drag in a breath, all I can see is Rea, all I could hear in my ears were her soft pants as I confessed a fraction of the things I would do Someone on the board asks the young man a question I didn't catch, The

  • Married To A Billionaire Nightmare    Chapter 10

LORETTA I didn't know what I was expecting when I asked Elion that question Honestly, I wasn't even thinking. I just needed a way for him to agree to having dinner with me so that we could get closer and hopefully I would find out his ‘Grand plans’But when he pinned me against the wall and growled those threats into my neck....I was instantaneously so frigging hot all over, my nipples were hard enough to cut through diamonds and the wetness in between my thighs was embarrassing My body is reacting in strange ways to this strange manI placed a hand over my chest, panting hard. Even though it's been over half an hour since he drove away, I still can't cool downMy feet have refused to move, still rotted to the spot where he pinned me. My tongue is dry and beads of sweat plaster my forehead He said he was going to objectify me, wreck me, and breed me. Those weren't normal things, so why am I so turned on by it?The pressure on my chest dug deeper, my heart fought against my ribcage

ELIONI didn't move, blink, or even breathe. I couldn't For a full minute I was as still as a statue during a fancy exhibition, and in the next minute, I felt everything a man could possibly feel at onceI was suddenly hot and cold, amused and annoyed, conflicted and unsettled, irritated and painfully aware of her... presence I stared down at Loretta, observing the strands of her caramel hair. It was lighter at the roots, I wondered how they'd feel wrapped around my fistAnd even though I know I shouldn't look, I couldn't stop my gaze from going lower, to the place where his shirt stretched taut across her bosomFûck me sideways. Those tits were begging to be fondled, played with, explored, and worshiped. They were so round and firm and perky, the wayward, dark part of my soul took riseI reached a hand to my tie, loosening it because I couldn't breathe properly. My chest was tight, my boxer briefs were tighter, but there was only so long it could conceal my growing erection I was
