Levi's POV

I woke up to light bleeding through the edges of the curtains, my neck stiff from the unforgiving guest bed mattress.

The room felt foreign despite being in my own house, everything displaced, wrong. For some minutes, I forgot where I was, I was caught in that limited space between sleep and consciousness where no problems exist yet.

Then the memory of last night weighed me down like a flooded wave.

Nova.

The dinner that I wanted nothing to do with. Then my grandfather came uninvited.

My anger, sharp and immediate. The words I had thrown at her like weapons, designed to hurt because I was hurting.

The way her face rumpled before she composed herself, her shoulders straightened in that way she does when she tries not to cry.

I exhaled, running a hand through my hair as I sat up slowly. My mouth tasted like regret and stale accusations.

The clock on the nightstand blinked 7:03 a.m. in dull red digits.

Too early to be awake after the restless night I had had, and yet, too

Nova’s POVThe door slammed behind them, and silence returned to the office like a wave swallowing everything whole.I stayed standing for a moment, hands still clenched at my sides, chest rising and falling like I had just finished running a marathon. My fingers trembled from the adrenaline, from the fury, from the ache of pretending I wasn’t crumbling inside.I had held my ground. I’d said the words I needed to say. But it didn’t mean I wasn’t shaken.Because behind every line of strength was a woman terrified that she was losing everything she loved.I walked slowly back to my desk and sat down, my knees weak, the room slightly spinning. I pressed a palm to my forehead, trying to breathe.Trying to hold on.But the moment they were gone—Felicia with her smug little smile, Naomi with her venom-laced threats—I felt the walls begin to close in again.I stared down at my hands, blinking hard to fight the sting in my eyes. Not now. Not here. I couldn’t cry at work. But God, I was tir

  • Married To His Billionaire Boss   Chapter 95.

Nova’s POVThe soft hum of the office lights, the rhythmic tapping of keys, the quiet shuffle of papers—I clung to the monotony like a lifeline.Work had always been my armour. My escape. When the world fell into chaos, spreadsheets and strategy became my refuge.I leaned forward, eyes scanning a marketing proposal for the new luxury line we’d been developing. But the words kept blurring, sentences collapsing into each other like they were too tired to stay upright. My thoughts refused to stay tethered.Because no matter how many files I opened, no matter how many emails I sent—I kept thinking about him.Levi.I woke up early that morning, earlier than usual. The kind of early that felt like a punishment, a way to beat the heaviness in my chest before it could settle.I’d moved around the kitchen silently, and made his breakfast with shaking hands. I’d sliced fruit the way he liked.Toasted his favorite bread. Added just a hint of honey to his tea because he’d never admit he preferred

  • Married To His Billionaire Boss   Chapter 94.

Levi's POVAn hour or so later, I was in my office, back to the city skyline, arms crossed and staring out at the city storming through another restive day. The forty-second-floor view usually made me feel bulletproof, in command.Today it only did that much to remind me of just how small I was, how unimportant it all was compared to what I'd left broken back home.Humans scurried under in anaesthetized wonder, oblivious to the stress bubbling on the upper floors of Adam Enterprises. Oblivious to how my marriage was disintegrating as they worried about coffee and traffic and deadlines that would be forgotten within a week.I had been there for nearly an hour, avoiding the stack of contracts on my desk, avoiding the messages piling up in my inbox, avoiding all that forced me to think of something other than the destruction I had caused.I turned around at the hum of the intercom."Yes," I answered, my voice harsher than I intended."Mr Jace George has come to see you," my assistant ann

  • Married To His Billionaire Boss   Chap 92.

Levi’s POVThe door shut behind me with a muted click, and I just stood there, gripping the handle like it was the only thing keeping me tethered to the ground. Like it was the only thing holding me down as everything within me was unraveling every second that passed.I didn’t even bother with the lights. What could it do to me at this moment? Nothing.Absolutely nothing. The duvet felt heavy in my arms—too heavy, like the weight of everything I’d been pretending I could ignore. I dropped it onto the bed and pressed my back to the door before sliding down to the floor. My knees bent up. My elbows rested on them. And my hands clutched at my face.God.What the hell just happened?I could still see her face. The tears she tried to blink away. The tremble in her voice. The dinner she made. The food I never touched.Guilt was already bleeding into the cracks of my anger, but I couldn’t push it away fast enough. It was all too loud in my head—Ronald’s voice, the smug edge in it when he la

  • Married To His Billionaire Boss   Chapter 91

Nova’s POVI stood in the quiet after Ronald left, his ultimatum still ringing in my ears like a fire alarm that wouldn’t shut off.Thirty days. One month to get pregnant or… or what? Levi loses the company. The board turns against him. The Adams crumble. And somehow, I thought that would help us.I truly believed that maybe this pressure would force him to talk to me. That maybe Ronald’s visit—his presence, his harsh words—would push Levi to finally break his silence. That he’d turn to me, maybe even with anger, but at least something. But what I got instead… was a storm.“Did you plan this?” Levi snapped, spinning around so fast that the sharpness in his voice cut the air like a knife.I blinked, still near the table, my hand trembling slightly around the edge of a wine glass.“W-what?”He pointed toward the door his grandfather had just walked out of, his jaw locked tight. “Did you call him? Invite him here? Tell him I’m being cold and you needed backup?”“No,” I said immediately.
