Chapter 2

The Newton foundation was the only thing her father had before his death and she would by all means protect it, even if protecting it, meant losing her innocence to a stranger. Lilly didn't care, all she cared about was the welfare of the Newton image. She wasn't doing this for herself but for her family.

When her father died, Mr. Thomas, who happened to be her father's younger brother, and also her uncle, took control of the business to manage it before she became of age. At the time of her father's death, she had been too young to take over the company.

Now the company was going to fall. She couldn't allow that. It was her inheritance and her responsibility to protect it. She had promised to do that and no matter how difficult the situation proved to be, she had to protect it.

"By doing this, the company will be saved," Lilly whispered as she fisted her hands.

She took a deep breath and threw another glance into the dark room. She then turned her eyes onto the Butler who had been waiting patiently for her to make a decision.

"Alright, I'm going in," she finally said, and the Butler nodded, accepting her decision.

"You may go in, Miss. My boss will be here any moment from now and he hates it when things don't go in order," Butler said with seriousness smeared all over his face.

"Alright," she replied. She summoned courage and started taking a step into the room when the Butler stopped her.

"Miss Lilly, whatever you do, don't turn on the lights. Just leave it the way it is." Butler warned in a voice that sent chills down her stomach.

It was a miracle Lilly didn't turn on her heels and run right at that moment. She simply nodded snd went inside. The moment she got in, the door suddenly shut behind her, making her jump in fear.

Lilly pulled up the pieces of her insides and decided to find the bed. She was obviously in a bedroom and all she needed was to find a place to sit. Using her fingers, she felt around the room, careful not to fall anything as she successfully made her way to the bed using the occasional flash of lightning to locate it.

As she sat down, the doubt started returning and she didn't know if she was doing the right thing or not. Yet, her aunt had told her this was the only way.

It was her inheritance, she had to protect it.

Aunt Yelena had also said this was for the betterment of everyone. She had to stay strong.

The room felt even colder than when she first stepped in. Her heart was beating louder than the rain hitting the windows, yet Lilly stayed strong.

She sighed softly and tightened her hands together. She started rubbing them together to get some warmth but it was useless. The situation wasn't even helping. What would she tell Michael?

How would he feel when he found out she had lost her virginity to another man?

She asked herself this question over and over as she sat alone in the cold and dark room. On her own, she couldn't get an answer but she remembered what her aunt Yelena had told her.

She had assured Lilly that no one was going to find out about this. The secret would remain within the family and no one would know about it.

Lightening stroke again and Lilly hugged herself.

How did she even get here? She wondered.

When the issue was brought to her, she had blatantly refused it. How did her aunt and uncle expect her to have a nightstand with a man she barely knew when she was supposed to get married in a few months, to her fiance Michael?

But this was about her father's hard work. This was about what her father had toiled for. It was about what he had built for years. It would be cruel on her part to ignore the situation. Her uncle had sacrificed so much, now it was her turn. Aunt Yelena and Sofia had also not failed in making her see reasons.

It was a hard decision to make. Especially if the people involved were the only ones she had as a family. She had no one left in life, apart from her uncle Thomas and his family, who were the only ones she had in her life now.

Lilly also loved them wholeheartedly and would go to any extent to make them happy. She started reconsidering her decisions. Since the issue would not be leaked out to her fiance, she could carry the guilt all by herself, for her family's sake.

"Michael will never get to know about this," she whispered sadly to herself as a drop of tear escaped her beautiful eyes. Maybe she should have slept with Michael before coming here but he would have suspected something was off. How could she, who had been preserving herself for their marriage suddenly request for sex?

She was helpless.

"I'm sorry, Michael," she said under her breath.

Just at that moment, the door snapped open and a tall figure stepped. Lilly's heart jumped to her throat and she feared it would escape as she watched the silhouette of a man.

She got to her feet and tried to stammer out a sort of conversation, "H—ello? My na—me is—"

The door suddenly snapped shut and Lilly swallowed her next words in the next instant as the man's thunderous voice filled the dark room.

"Get your clothes off! I don't have much time to waste!" He commanded and even the rain seemed to fear him as it suddenly reduced into tiny droplets.

Lilly was shocked. She didn't expect it to turn out like this. She thought they could hold a little conversation before they got into the business of the day.

How would you have sex with someone without even caring to hear their name first? What sort of man was going to take her innocence?

"O—okay," she squeaked out as fear crawled against her body.

He remained by the door and she feared he would hurt her if she delayed any further. It was even better this way, she thought. The sooner they starter, the earlier they finished.

With shaky hands, she took off her clothes as she was told. The cold air kissed her bare skin, making her nipples hard and firm. For the first time, she was grateful for the darkness. She would have been so ashamed of herself if the lights were on.

"I am d—one," she whispered, trying but failing to sound strong.

"Hmm," the figure sighed as he began his journey  towards her.

Her heart was in her throat as she counted his steps towards her. He didn't need the lightnjng to get to her, he obviously knew the arrangement and positioning of things in this room.

The man got in front of her and without wasting time, he grabbed her by the waist and pushed her to the bed.
