LOGINI had once loved Damon.
Not in the way people would imagine. I was only twelve then, and my love was nothing more than the innocent crush of a girl. But Damon was not the boy I chose. There was another boy in our school, Ryan. He was the star of the basketball team, confident, talented, and admired by almost everyone. I liked him, and Damon knew it. Damon hated Ryan because Ryan always looked down on him. So when Damon and his friends found a way to ruin Ryan's life, they took it. They planted stolen examination papers in Ryan's locker and arranged everything to make it look like he had been selling them. The scandal spread through the school within days. Ryan was suspended and eventually left the school. But I didn't believe the story. I searched and asked questions until I eventually found out the truth. Damon was the one behind it. I remember standing in front of him that afternoon, my hands shaking with anger. “I'll tell the school principal,” I said. He became very scared. I saw the fear in his eyes. Not fear of me, but fear of what his grandfather would do to him. He begged me to stay quiet. I refused. He couldn't take any chances because of his grandfather. When I tried to leave, he held my hand and threatened to push me off the balcony. We were on the first floor of the school building. I told him he wouldn't dare because I didn't know him as such a person. But he eventually let go, and I fell with my hands facing the ground. The next thing I saw, when I opened my eyes was that I was in a hospital with both my hands broken and my head badly injured. He left the school when everything was discovered. I stayed in the hospital for more than a year. When I eventually came back home, I could no longer continue with what I was so good at "piano" . I had already begun to emerg as a star, winning competitions and preparing for a national audition that could have changed my life. From the time I was in the hospital until I finally returned home, I hated him more than I could ever explain. He never apologized for once, for ruining my life and now am trapped in a marriage of woes to an enemy because of mom. The day had been tiring enough, and I had a lot on my mind. I also searched for some jobs because I knew that I could never rely on Damon. I worked on it for some time before eventually putting my phone and laptop aside and drifting off to sleep. Damon returned a little late. He had spent a lot of his time dealing with my mom’s situation at the hospital and ended up working late because of it. Initially, he had wanted to postpone his last meeting so that he could arrive earlier and see how I would react to being trapped in his house. But the meeting turned out to be an important one that he couldn’t avoid. Damon entered the house, expecting to find me waiting with a sulky face, but I was nowhere to be found. All the workers immediately greeted him. “Where is your young miss?” Damon asked the butler. “Young miss said she was a little tired and wanted to rest for some time. She asked us to leave the second floor so that we wouldn’t disturb her sleep,” the butler replied respectfully. “Has she eaten anything?” Damon questioned the butler. “Young miss came down a few minutes ago. The old chef asked her to have dinner, but she only drank a glass of milk and went back to your room, young master,” the butler said. Damon nodded and climbed up the stairs toward his room. He was slightly amused. He hadn’t expected that I would accept everything so readily. Because of that, he wanted to see what other scene would greet him once he entered his bedroom. With this thought, he opened the door. And was completely disappointed. He walked into the room and entered his closet. He then went on to check his bathroom and washroom, but I was nowhere to be seen. Damon immediately walked out of his room, and his face had turned darker. He had checked his room completely, and not only was I missing, but all of my belongings were missing from there as well. He knew that none of his workers would lie to him. Thus, he started checking the other rooms on the same floor. In fact, he was cursing himself for imagining that I would accept all of this. He should have expected this. With that useless brain and temper of mine, how could I possibly accept the arrangement he had made? The only thing I knew how to do was go against him and make him angry again and again. I hadn’t changed even a single bit. At last, he reached the final room and tried opening it. But the room was locked. And that was exactly what he had been searching for. Soon, a cold smirk appeared on his face. Who was Damon? He was the only leader of the entire mafia in Country Golden. Not to mention that the door lock had been made under his supervision. He could even hack critical passwords, so what were these mere door locks that would only need a flick of his hand? In ten seconds, the door was open soundlessly. I was still dozing off when Damon entered the room. He simply couldn’t believe that I would think of such a stupid way to oppose him. I was still dreaming when I felt some movement on my bed. I wanted to check what it was, but I was too lazy to even move a finger. However, I suddenly felt a cold breath near me. Annoyed, I lazily scratched my head before slightly opening my eyes. But… That single glance was enough to make me completely awake. My eyes widened at the scene in front of me. Damon’s face was hovering above mine, with only a few centimeters between us. It was that close proximity that had made me feel his cold breath on my face. Damon had pinned me down between his legs while supporting his entire weight on both of his hands and knees. “You are truly specialized in going against me again and again and making sure that I remain angry, right?” Damon asked in a chilly voice. I didn’t reply immediately. Instead, I tried to push his body away. But how could my frail body possibly move such a huge, towering frame? “Damon, we can talk properly. You don’t have to pin me like this. Get up first,” I said in a stern voice. “I get that you are truly gifted at defying me. Shouldn’t I reward you for that?” Damon said, completely ignoring my words. “I said get off me! Don’t you understand human language?” I said angrily. But that statement truly angered Damon as well. He got even closer and while I was agitating our face mistakenly collided, pressing his lips against mine in the heat of the moment. My eyes opened wide at the sudden attack before I returned to my senses and pushed him away. Damon held my face using both of his hands, one stroking my cheek while the other held the back of my neck firmly. He was still supporting his body weight on his knees, keeping me from being crushed beneath him. The kiss was more like a punishment than any kind of reward. He pressed his lips hard against mine, his anger obvious in the force behind the kiss. Meanwhile, I tried to push him away with all my might, but it was entirely futile. Damon was completely immersed in the kiss, consumed by the anger that had been building inside him for who knew how long. He barely seemed to notice the effort I was making to push him away. All the anger that had been pent up inside him seemed to come out in that kiss. I was about to faint from breathlessness when Damon finally broke away. I gasped for air, and once I had somehow started breathing a little more rapidly, Damon leaned toward me again and kissed me once more with all the strength of his anger.I silently cried in my mind before finally trying to sleep. The next morning, I woke up earlier than Damon. Thankfully, he had already removed his hand from my waist, which made it easier for me to get up without waking him. Just like yesterday, we both had breakfast before going to the hospital. But today, I left early to look for a job. I hadn't told Damon that I was going for an interview at Stardust because it was his company. Unknown to me, Damon had already assigned two men to watch over my safety. He knew that as his woman, if the news of our marriage leaked out, almost all his enemies would go after my head. I was just entering the building when one of my bodyguards made a call. On the other side, Adrien ended the call before immediately informing Damon. Damon was sitting behind his desk when the information reached him. He put his pen down on the file before slowly lifting his head. “Interesting.” A grin appeared on his face. “Call the head of the recruitment de
Meanwhile, the most stunned person in the ward was standing behind Damon. I had been listening to all the nonsense Damon was saying. Beat me to death, and I would never have imagined that this was how Damon meant to show his “affection” for me. I was secretly cursing him for performing so perfectly in his self-scripted drama. If an Oscar could be awarded for such day-to-day acting, I would have presented it to him without any arguments. How could he lie so much without even batting an eyelid? For God's sake, he had been talking about me the entire time, but only I knew that every single word he said was the complete opposite of what he actually meant. If not for all those horrible experiences I had gone through because of him and for knowing his true nature all these years, even I would have definitely been moved to tears by now. “If you had told me about him earlier, I would have personally given my daughter's hand to you.” Mom's voice brought my attention back to h
“You know how much I detest people who lie. Do you want me to detest you?” Mom asked, a little disappointed. She should have known that with our economic condition, there was no way I could have managed to gain such good connections in a huge hospital like this.I could no longer hide anything from Mom.So I told her about my marriage to Damon and that I was living at his house.Of course, I left out the part where he constantly tried to make trouble for me.“LIANA!!! Are you out of your mind? Or do you no longer care about me and my opinions? You seriously don’t consider my feelings anymore?” Mom shouted at me.“Mom, please calm down first. How can I not consider you? If not for you, I wouldn’t have married Damon in the first place. It’s just that I had no other option.”“Still, how could you do this? Is marriage a plaything to you? How could you make a deal out of something like this? How can you marry someone unknown? And most importantly, how is he behaving with you?” Mom asked al
I wanted to ignore him and get up, but then I noticed that his arm was holding me tightly. Finally pissed, I punched him in the chest, successfully waking him up. “Perv—” Before I could complete my word, Damon suddenly spoke in a loud, exaggerated tone. “Pervert? You are the one who crossed the line. Look at which side of the bed you are on.” He made the accusation with a cold smirk, clearly enjoying my reaction. I found my voice after a few seconds and spoke angrily. “What do you mean? Don’t think you can stop me from calling you a pervert with this act of yours.” Damon stared at me. “Tell me, which side of the bed were you supposed to be on?” It was only then that I turned my face around. But what I saw shocked me to the core. “How… how did I…? When did this… happen?” I was sleeping on the side that was originally supposed to be Damon’s. Not only that, but one of my legs was placed over his body, covering his thigh and knees and making it impossible for him to move wit
I could no longer put up with him, and soon he had completely taken control of the kiss. His tongue fought with mine, with him being the winner as expected. He explored my mouth while I felt my own body temperature rising. Though initially he had only wanted to kiss me, after a few moments those feelings seemed to change into something different. He probably couldn’t explain what that feeling was, but he seemed to want more of it. He would give me a breather in between before continuing with his revenge. Damon once again started kissing me roughly and deeply after breaking away for the fourth time. His thin lips fit perfectly against my small but plump lips. Just when he wanted to deepen the kiss again, my stomach made its presence known with a loud, hungry growl. Damon immediately stopped. “That is enough for now I suddenly shouted at him with all the anger I had inside of me. Don't you ever again in your miserable life kiss me again or I will do something you would never fo
