Chapter Forty Four

Our plane touched down the runway pulling me out of my nap. I was sleeping against my husband's warm side, holding his bicep like my favorite teddy bear. He brushed the wild curls from my face and tilted my chin to give me a soul snatching kiss.

I took an hour after that sudden affection from my husband to get through the fuzzy feeling starting in my heart. By the time our limo arrived, I had forgotten everything and behaved like we were a newly married couple visiting Paris for our first honeymoon. To me it almost felt like that.

"Do you have a meeting this afternoon?" I asked as our limo started out of the airport and to our family apartments.

"Yes, I do have a meeting but I will try to be back for dinner." He ran his knuckles on my cheek then pulled me in for a kiss. "We're going out."
