Jenny sat at the same spot as when Aviana had seen her on her first day in the company. She glanced at her phone when it beeped and a message popped up on the screen. The message was from unknown number. At first, as she read through the message, her brows drew together, lines forming between her eyebrows. But as she continued to read, her confused state was gradually changing as her face beamed with happiness. Feeling happy inside at what she had just read, Jenny waited for her work shift to end, before she headed outside the building and got into a hackney cab that was already waiting for her as she had been told through the message. The cab headed to a remote location around 50km away from the company on the outskirts of the city. This was a dilapidated warehouse that seemed like it hadn't been operated in a while. The cab parked nearby and Jenny stepped out of the car followed by the driver. The driver, of course, looked around to make sure that no one had actually followed them.
She felt the gaze. For several days now, Aviana felt like someone was keeping a close watch on her every move. At work, at home, basically everywhere she went to. At first, she didn't give much thought to it, as she thought that, probably, it was her own imaginations. But now, feeling the gaze again, she came to a halt. She abruptly turned around to look at the direction where the gaze was coming from. Creasing her eyebrows, she saw a black clothed man, who, immediately hid behind a car as soon as he saw her turn to his direction. She didn't see his face clearly, because he perfectly hid his face with the hood he was wearing. She rubbed her eyes to make sure that her eyes weren't playing a trick on her. This was the same person she saw on top of the tall building with a binoculars in his hand? Was he watching her? the thought kept playing in her head. And seeing him suddenly hide, it confirmed that her theories were probably true :that she was being watched."Ma'am, is there a problem
Another day dawned bringing with it new hopes and aspirations. Aviana rubbed her bleary eyes and walked towards the balcony. There was a pearly glow in the sky. The dawn chorus of melodic birdsong drifted in. For a long time, she stood there glancing at the already blue sky as she stretched out her hands and drew in the fresh air, a wide grin spreading on her lips. She were genuinely happy. Unlike other weekends, today was special. Because, they were going to celebrate hayden's birthday as he turned a year older. As she walked down the stairs towards the sitting room, she gazed in awe at the beautiful scene that her eyes were currently seeing. The room was filled to the brim, with kids running and playing all over the house making the room look more lively than it usually was. The magician was sitting on the floor few inches away from the table doing his 'Adda Cadabra' magic while the audience watched in awe and beamed with happiness. Balloons in different befitting colors hang on the
"Hello," Ethan's deep voice echoed in the car. "What is it!" he asked, sounding impatient."Sir, something came up in the office," replied Devin. "There will be a video conference between the board members in ten minutes, sir," he concluded, unaware of the man's anger on the other side of the call."Damn it!" he cursed. "Why now? Why didn't you inform me earlier?" he said, angrily as he bumped his fist on the steering wheel. Devin, who heard him curse almost dropped his phone."W-we didn't know, sir," he stammered. "We just got the information few minutes ago," he said. After saying these words, he heard the screeching sound of the car as it turned around. 'What? Where was he heading to? Wait a minute, did I just jeopardize his plans? Well, he shouldn't blame me? The board members caused it all,' he thought to himself. Shrugging his shoulders, he walked back to his duty post.Meanwhile, the door bell rung and as usual, Hayden rushed towards the door to get it. Aviana, who sat across f
Aviana was done with the dishes. She sauntered back to her room. She locked the door and stepped forward towards the bed. With her back facing the bed she slumped down into the bed, she were obviously so exhausted. After aimlessly gazing at the ceiling for sometime, she stood up from the bed and got rid of her clothes, and wrapped herself with the bathrobe . Then, she walked towards the bathroom and banged the door closed. Meanwhile, Ethan was standing outside the villa, few inches away from the lit room. He walked back and forth around the compound, from time to time, gazing at the lit room above him. It seemed, he was deeply contesting with his thoughts whether to go in through the window or not. After coming up with a conclusion, Ethan stepped backwards as if he was about to turn around and leave the compound, but the next moment, he stepped forward in a quick pace and climbed the wall, aiming at her window. Fortunately, the window was still open. He climbed in but didn't move fur
(please, as you read through this chapter, listen to 'Your love' song by Sue Ramirez. Thank you) "You're the one who never lets me sleep, To my mind down to my soul, you touched my lips, You're the one that I can't wait to see, With you here by my side, I'm in ectasty...." Warmth blossomed in Aviana's chest, sparks igniting as Ethan leaned in closer, lips brushing together, tentatively, for the first time. The smell of his perfume was dizzying, butterflies dancing in her stomach. But, warmth consumed her as she leaned into the kiss, Ethan's lips impossibly soft against her own. Their bodies pressed together heatedly against the wall, breathing heavily as their lips pressed together. He played with her lips, savoring them, sucking and nibbling at them, slow at first, but as time passed, it increased in intensity. "I am all alone without you, My days are dark without a glimpse of you, But, now that you came into my life I feel complete, The flowers bloom, the morning shine
As he looked deep into her eyes, he creased his eyes like a detective would, looking for answers by glaring at his suspect's eyes. "I thought, I heard Ethan's voice last night, in your room," he added, not tearing his eyes off her, just incase he missed her facial expression that would give her away. "And, this morning, when I walked into your room, I heard you mention Ethan's name," he continued to bombard questions at her. "I did? But, I don't recall it?" she responded, while she creased her eyebrows, glaring at him. Obviously, it weren't true. Even if it were true, she wasn't going to give into him. She was going to play along with him. And, besides, it was high time she had a serious talk with him. It's obvious, he had been reading romance novels lately. "Hayden, have you been reading romance novels?" she asked him while she glared at him. Hearing her question, Hayden subconsciously sat back on his chair. "No, I haven't," he lied and immediately tore his eyes off her. "I th
"He's lying. There is someone, a woman, who has managed to capture his heart. But, who could she be?" she murmured to herself as she bit her lower lip while she lay on the bed, deeply indulged in her thoughts. "Well, I must find that out on my own. It's obvious, he will never tell me," she thought. After pondering for a while, scarlet picked up her phone that was placed on the table beside the bed. She send a text message to someone, and after it had successfully been delivered, she removed her sleeping gown and walked into the bathroom, with only a bathrobe covering her body. Scarlett walked into the coffee shop. She glanced around the shop as if looking for someone in the midst of the people who were present in the room. Her eyes locked on a man who sat at a corner. He wore a white hood and a pair of blue jeans and he too was looking at the coffee shop entrance, as if he were waiting to see someone show up. He waved at her, and Scarlet walked towards where he was sitting, a pure smi
