Let's Work Hard

"I said, '' Do you want to hear my humble offer? Or do you want to join us right now?"

The beast- like man yelled in anger as he was losing his cool now...

"Offer… We would like to hear about the offer first?" When saw that the girl was not reacting, she quickly said on behalf of her... 

"Great… Very good" The man had a satisfied smile on his face and said " I will not ask for the daily interest of one thousand dollars, but in return…. You have to pay at least seven hundred thousand dollars in a year…"

He said and went back on playing with the girls beside him " This is the least I can offer….Accept it or start working for us"

"We..." Cherry hesitated a little to say anything on her behalf. But the man had already given them a huge concession of 3 hundred thousand dollars but there was still a lot to pay..

"Lucy… It’s ok.. We have a whole year.. We can do this… Let’s leave first" She said in her ears in a low voice 

'Seems like I can only do what they want… But still I have a whole year and soon I can take out a loan to pay them' Lucy thought in her mind and looked at Cherry who was looking at her with eyes full of worries...

"Throw them out and keep taking the money every month from them…. Just take whatever they give… They are just little girls, don’t be harsh on them..." Their horrible Boss ordered them and went back to things he was doing with the girls in his hands.

Lucy had cried the whole night that day. It became her nightmare to earn money… Those people kept on coming to her door for the demand of money on every 1st of the month…

Cherry was her such a good friend that she had always helped her in everything and she was still helping her...Though they were not able to pay much but still they had paid around 30 thousand dollars by all means and hard work but still it was too tough to reach the amount of 7 hundred thousand.

Now, only a miracle could save her life otherwise she was already ‘Sold' by her 'dear' father…

Back to the present…

Lucy had been busy mopping the floor and was thinking about how to pay them as much as possible in a limited time. It was not easy to earn money from part time jobs as they both had been working and still they were far from the amount…

She was still thinking when Cherry came running to her 

"Lucy… Lucy, have a look here, see!" A girl came running in a waitress dress and said in an excited voice.

"Cherry calm down… Calm down!!" Lucy, who had been mopping the floor quickly went forward to her and said while holding onto her…

"Oh… I am sorry" She said and then took a few steps back as the floor was still wet and her steps were leaving marks on the floor, leaving extra for her work to do.

"Ok… Apology accepted." Lucy smiled radiantly and started her work again.

"O my dear Lucy… I happened to apply for the job of a waitress in the big banquet for us…. It is quite safe and" Cherry was really excited to tell her about all the things and was walking round and round to her…

"Cherry dear...Can’t you see I am working here… Let’s talk about it later" She said while cutting her off in between her

"Lucy.. I hate you, you are too mean" She said and ran away while pouting in anger…

She shook her head while seeing the way her little friend was behaving right now and followed her leaving all her work behind.

"Hi.. Hi… My dear Cherry… Don’t be like this...I know you are angry… But" She said while putting her palms on her shoulder, trying to console her.

"Go away... ! Don’t talk to me… You are too mean" Cherry slapped her hands off of her shoulder and acted like she was exploding from anger but Lucy knew her best friend was just acting this way to grab her attention.

"Ok.. Ok… Just tell me… I was just thinking all sorts of things right now" 

She said and cajole her like a child...

Finally Cherry could no longer act as an angry girl and said "Ok… so do you wanna hear me now?" She asked while looking back at her and Lucy just went to the seat in front of her 

"I guess… There is nothing we can do… We have already sold the little things we had and now we are hardly alive… So tell me… What did you come up with?"

She was totally hopeless and asked in disappointment…

"O dear Lucy… Look at this.. So all we have to do is serve rich people and the salary of an hour is 2 hundred dollars and since we are two people, we both got selected… We can simply earn 4 hundred per hour and the work is going to be done one 7 to 8 hours and it is quite possible that we both can earn around two thousand dollars in a day and if our performance are going to be ok then we will simply have this job at daily basis and then we might be able to earn a lot" She said in a voice full of excitement and chided " It’s really safe and the best thing is they will transfer the money in our account per hour, now we don’t have to wait for the next month to have other foods other than cheap noodles and simply we can try to pay our debts off"

Lucy’s eyes lit up the things she had told and it was really a mouth watering offer...' Just who in the world would deny this huge opportunity?' She thought to herself and took the papers off of her hands to see if it really was reliable
