"Really? Your dad is one step ahead in finding his daughter?" Kristin asked as she dried Richard's hair with a hair dryer.

He had just taken a bath, and Kristin offered to help. Kathryn was with her grandparents.

"Yes," Richard replied.

"How do you feel about it?" she inquired.

"I'm happy. After twenty long years, they’re finally one step closer to finding Adriana."

"Your dad once told me about her and even showed me a picture. I can’t wait to see her. I wonder what she looks like."

"Maybe when Ophelia finds her daughter, she'll stop being a thorn in my side," Richard said.

"She must’ve been so mean to you," Kristin sympathised.

"Yes, she was. Growing up, she mistreated me, but my mom's treatment was even worse."

"If by chance you see your mom again, what would you do? Just curious," Kristin asked.

"I have nothing but resentment for her. I’m still searching, and once I find her, it’ll be payback time," Richard said, his eyes darkening with every word.
