Chapter 16

Nathan's POV

"Useless, useless, useless" My wolf kept torturing me, echoing the same words over and over as we failed for the millionth time to feel our legs.

"Your ruckus is ruining our chances of getting better" I snapped at him, I was already frustrated then he had to rub salt to my open wounds.

"I'll advise you to stop wasting your time but you'll stubbornly refuse" true to his words I didn't want to give up.

I stared down at my feet, willing my toes to move. Come on. Just a little.

I took a deep breath, holding it as I concentrated. My whole body tensed, my fingers clenching the arm of my wheelchair.

I pushed every ounce of energy I felt into my toes, imagining them, moving, wriggling but nothing happened.

My brain shouted the command, but my toes remained still as if they weren’t even mine.

In fact the effort seemed to cause my upper body harm, ever since the failed session I had been hurting but thanks to my healing abilities it disappeared just as it came.
