Mike sat at the bedside, holding Angie’s hand, still unconscious after surgery. Ten hours had passed, yet there was no sign that she would open her eyes.

The doctor had said she would wake soon, but it would take time to fully recognize her surroundings. Complications had occurred during the operation. She had lost a significant amount of blood and required a donor, but Jimmy was difficult to reach, pushing Mike to the edge of losing control.

He had pointed a gun at the doctors and nurses, demanding they save his wife at any cost. Now, Angie had passed the critical stage—but why hadn’t she opened her eyes?
