The night was cold, and the restaurant was already getting prepared to close, the black-haired girl removed her apron laughing at what her colleague said, and she changed from her restaurant uniform to her mufti.
“It seems like it’s going to rain tonight,” a blonde-haired girl said carrying her handbag as she looked at the dark-haired girl who nodded in agreement. She raised her head and her beautiful blue eyes smiled at the lady looking at her. “I’m waiting for you Aurora,” she said for Aurora to push her hair to the back of her ear. “No need Agatha, Audrey promised to pick me up tonight,” she said for the girl to chuckle. “Audrey this, Audrey that. Ok then, hope to make it to work tomorrow early because, with this weather, I think Audrey will make sure your moans fill the room.” She chuckled for Aurora to shyly smile. “I’ve told you again Agatha, I’m sealed not poked yet.” She said for Agatha to squeeze her brows. “So you weren’t joking when you said it before?” She asked for Aurora to nod. “Don’t you think Audrey will cheat on you?” She asked for Aurora to shake her head. “He promised to wait till I’m ready,” she said smiling for Agatha to shake her head chuckling. “Poor Aurora, come here,” she said hugging Aurora as she felt she was too naive. “Then come to work early, let me get you ready. It's time you get poked baby girl” she said for Aurora to chuckle pushing her hair to the back of her ear while her beautiful shaped lips moved to both sides of her chicks giving Agatha a beautiful smile. “Good night twenty-three years old virgin,” she said for Aurora to blush as she bid Agatha goodnight before Agatha left. Aurora sighed packing her dark hair with her wrist band then waiting at the front of the closed restaurant for her boyfriend who promised to pick her up. The roar of the dark clouds was heard, Aurora raised her head seeing the lightning, and she sighed as it was getting colder. She looked at her little wrist watch and it was 9 pm. She carried her phone and called her boyfriend but after multiple rings, it went off and this made Aurora wonder why he didn’t make it to his promise. As she put her phone back into her bag, the heaven let out its beautiful cry heavily. Aurora sighed as she decided to stop a taxi. She rushed in using her bag as coverage from the heavy rain, After she stepped in, the driver drove away. Inside the heavy rain, the taxi stopped at Newston Street, block 9. “Thank you,” Aurora said and stepped out of the taxi, using her bag as coverage from the pouring rain, she rushed to their apartment door. She brought out her key to open the door but found out it was open. She frowned wondering if Audrey was home but didn’t come pick her up like promised. She walked in dusting the water in her body and bag. Aurora closed the door and dropped her bag. She began to walk upstairs toward their room when she heard a silent moan which made her frown, she gently walked towards the bedroom and as she clicked open, inside the dimly lit room, Aurora saw her best friend riding on her boyfriend. “Ah,” she gasped covering her mouth. “Sara” she called for her friend to turn. “Shit” Audrey cursed pushing the girl down as he tried to cover his body. “Why?” She whispered as tears began to roll down her eyes. “Baby, let me explain” Audrey tried to go towards her but Sara held him back. “You said you were going to break up with her anyways,” she said for Aurora to squeeze her brows as her chest began to rise in anger and sadness. She couldn’t keep staying in the space with her best friend and boyfriend so she ran away. “Aurora!” Audrey called as he followed her but she already ran out of the apartment into the heavy pouring rain. The voice of Sarah saying “You are going to break up with her anyways” kept playing in her head as she ran out of the apartment into the heavy rain. Aurora cried as she kept running till she came out in the city, not knowing where to go she kept on running. Same time, at the elite bar filled with celebrities, a dark-haired guy holding his bear laughed at a girl who had just been rejected by his friend. Opposite where he sat, another dark-haired guy sat quietly with his cold aurora as he stared at his glass of beer, his masculine jawline clinched as he brought out his phone to call on a number but after multiple rings, it hung up. “It’s pouring heavily Damien, Beverly won’t make it” he heard his friend say for the man to drink his beer in one go. “Just have fun tonight with all these beautiful ladies, look that’s supermodel Liona, she’s pretty and willing to be with Damien Vladimir tonight,” he said but still got no response from his friend. After Damien drops his empty glass of beer, a notification sound bumps in his phone. “Hey, Mason” A blond-haired guy called for Mason to smile at him as they shook hands. “ Damien” he called but Mason shook his head at him. “ Will catch up later, I want to meet a director” the guy said walking away. Damien opened his phone seeing an unknown number on his notification, he opened the message, and the sound of a moan was heard. Mason frowns as he immediately looks at his friend's phone. He saw a sex video of Beverly with an actor they just featured in a movie together. “9:30 pm 24th June, that’s today,” he said out the date on the video with a frown. Mason could feel the cold aura coming out from his friend who just stared at his phone. “Wait, this is Micheal Anderson featured with Beverly in the new… Mason was cut short as Damien stood up walking out of the bar. “Damien.. shit” Mason covered his mouth and then carried his phone to call Damien's assistant while he followed him out. “Sir Mas…. “Simon, track your boss's phone immediately, he just bashed out of the bar into his car on the rainy night,” Mason said and hung up. “Beverly why?” He whispered rubbing his hair as he knew what Damien was capable of. Inside the cold rainy night, Damien Bentley drove as fast as they could to the address on the video sent to him. His masculine long fingers hold firm on his steering while he hits on his accelerator moving at high speed. Meanwhile, Aurora who looked devastated running in her wet clothes decided to cross over towards the street to Agatha's house. She kept crying as her body and heart felt hurt from the scene she saw in their little apartment. Without looking, Aurora ran into the road when a car from nowhere came crashing into her. Up in the sky, Aurora felt her body was free, she closed her eyes like it was a feeling of freedom until she stopped in the middle of the air and then fell back when she felt her body slammed on a hard metal surface and her blue eyes slowly open in the pouring rain before it closed back. Damien who was at high speed heard a thud sound which made him immediately stop wondering what he might have hit. He looked around and without seeing anything, he turned on his engine again then he heard a louder thud sound on top of his sports car making him frown. Inside the heavy raining night, Damien opened his car door and stepped out when he saw a lifeless body on top of his car in a pool of blood…Damien hung up and returned to the funeral grounds. The priest preached about life and death before calling Mason forward to give a speech.Mason walked up to face everyone, his red eyes showing how much pain he was in. He looked at his father’s coffin before turning to the crowd.“Being an only child was not easy. I wanted a sister or a brother—someone I could protect and look out for. But my dad told me that he and my mom had an agreement, so I had to bury that wish deep in my heart.“Since I couldn’t have a sibling, my father became more than just my dad. He became my brother, and my mother was all I had. Everything was fine. Life was simple.“He taught me how to rule our empire. He taught me how to take care of my woman. He taught me the dos and don’ts of life, friendship, and everything in between.“Since the day he lost his younger brother, I saw something change in my father. Something left him. So, I wanted to be more than just a son. Even when ruling our company wasn’t my joy
Aurora was still in shock. Her hands had been shaking since yesterday’s incident. She couldn’t imagine that the day she had finally decided to meet her father would be the very day his life was taken right in front of her.She swallowed hard as tears continued to stream down her face.“Honey.”Damien wrapped his arms around her from behind as she stood on their balcony, staring into the distance.“Please stop crying. Looking like this, you can’t attend his funeral tomorrow. Besides, our baby is depending on you for survival.” He whispered, gently placing her hand over her stomach.Aurora immediately burst into tears. She turned to Damien and raised her hands to his face.“Can you do this for me?” she asked, her voice trembling.“Anything you want,” he replied, wiping her tears with his thumb.“Find the person who killed him. Find out why,” she pleaded.Damien took her lips gently, kissing her to soothe her before placing a soft kiss on her forehead.“I’m on it, my love.”Aurora nodd
At the Mason Hotel and Lounge, the rooftop restaurant had been reserved exclusively for them that evening. The father and son sat together at the table, talking as they waited for Aurora.“So, tell me, what is she like?” Mason asked his father, who frowned.“Who is that?” his father asked, making Mason smile.“Jane.”His father chuckled.“Don’t let your mother hear you.”“Oh, please, Father. I’m sure she’s the reason you cheated,” Mason said, making his father sigh.“Mmm.” He let out a long sigh.“I won’t blame your mother for my mistake, Mason. Jane’s beauty was irresistible. Every time I visited that restaurant in Russia, I found myself salivating—not because of the food, but because of her. I took the slightest chance I had with her.“I knew your mother would be upset. She’s the masterpiece of what we have today, but I wanted to see the world. And when I saw Jane, I felt it was my chance.“Maybe if I had known she was pregnant, I would have hidden her away and paid her off to prote

He continued signing the documents before finally speaking.“You told Mr. Alphonso that I was doing business with Mr. Rico?” he asked, lifting his eyes to meet hers.Quin remained silent for a moment, still expecting her charm to work. But nothing happened.“Will you answer me before I send your ugly face to hell?” Damien’s voice came out cold and sharp.Quin gasped and swallowed hard.“I… I didn’t know he had any connection with Mr. Rico. He asked me out on a date and used the deal to threaten me, so I only told him that… that he shouldn’t feel special because
Damien didn’t stutter. He simply wanted his wife to understand why he had done what he did.Aurora sat on the bed and lowered her head.“You don’t have to forgive me if you don’t want to. But I want you home, Aurora. Please, sweetheart,” Damien pleaded.Aurora sighed. She was confused and didn’t know what to do.She looked at Damien, the man who was her husband, the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. But he was cruel.Could she really continue living with him?Could she overlook everything he had done? Those questions replayed endlessly in her mind.“It was to protect you,” Damien said as he stood up.“Protect me?” Aurora scoffed.Just then, there was a knock on the door.Aurora stood up to answer it, but Damien stopped her.“I’ll get it.”He opened the door and found Mason standing outside.“Why are you here?” Damien asked coldly.“Aurora,” Mason called.Aurora walked over.“Let him in, Damien,” she said.“No, don’t worry. I only came to let you know that Dad agreed t
Mason struck Damien’s hands repeatedly, trying to free himself, but he was no match for him.James watched in horror as Mason’s eyes began to bulge. He quickly looked around, desperately searching for a way to stop his boss before he seriously hurt him.Suddenly, an idea came to him.He immediately pulled out his phone.“Boss! Boss! Madam is calling!” he shouted.Damien instantly released Mason.Mason dropped to his knees, coughing violently as he struggled to catch his breath.Damien slowly turned toward James, who immediately lowered his head.“Forgive me, sir. She didn’t—”“Urgh!”James groaned in pain as Damien drove a punch into his stomach.“That’s for lying to me,” Damien said coldly before turning back to Mason.“You should leave before I snap the life out of you.”Mason cleared his throat and slowly got to his feet.“I’m not scared of you, Damien. Your wife doesn’t want to see you until you reveal your hidden child. I can’t believe you hid a child you had with Beverly after e
It was morning. Stella had arranged office wear—a black pant, white inner blouse, and a suit. She also placed a pair of office heels and a deck of business cards Simon had brought yesterday.Aurora woke up to the delicious aroma of potato soup.“Good morning, madam,” Stella greeted, causing Aurora
Aurora’s eyes scanned Sarah, then she sighed. Camila stared at the pregnant woman, who looked a little disheveled with swollen eyes, like she had been crying.“Don’t act dumb with me, Aurora,” Sarah said, prompting another sigh from Aurora.“I don’t know—”“Don’t play dumb with me!” Sarah snapped,
Aurora walked into the wardrobe where Damien was, after she was done eating. Her eyes widened, and she couldn’t help but chuckle.“What’s funny?” Damien turned around, wearing white pants and a beach shirt.“What’s in all these boxes?” she asked, opening one.“Ahh…” she looked at Damien, who smiled
John drank his life away. The fact that his father’s death didn’t hurt him as much as seeing his wife having an affair did. He wanted to press her neck and choke her, but he loved her so much that doing so would feel like hurting himself.“Where’s my mother?” Daniel walked in.“I told you to leave,
