Sophia's POV

CRYSTAL UNIVERSITY

“Now, let’s move on to the next topic. Who can tell me the concept of Art Therapy?” the lecturer asked, clicking to the next slide on the projector screen. The faint hum of the ceiling fan swirled through the lecture hall, mingling with the scratching sounds of pens and the quiet tapping of laptop keys.

I shifted in my seat, trying to stay focused, but it was nearly impossible with the prickling sensation on the back of my neck—the distinct feeling that someone was watching me.

I didn’t even have to turn around to know who it was.

Conrad.

He was sitting just a few rows behind me, and from the corner of my eye, I could tell he kept sneaking glances at me. It was subtle, but persistent. Every few seconds, I felt his eyes on me again.

Conrad.

The name alone stirred a rush of emotions—some sweet, some embarrassing, and a few too painful to name. He was the boy I had crushed on since my first year at Crystal University. The one who had helped me find the fa

MORANO'S MANSION Morano's Mansion was quiet, the kind of quiet that came before a storm. The kind that clung to the walls and sat heavy in the lungs. Leonard moved through the hallways like a shadow—controlled, silent, but with danger threaded through every step. The moment he’d heard the slam of a door downstairs, instinct had taken over. Something wasn’t right. He had heard that sound before—once, years ago, when a hit had been ordered on his father. The footsteps, the creak of the floorboards, the way the air changed. He could sense danger in the marrow of his bones.Sophia remained behind in the office, standing barefoot on the cold marble floor. Her heart still raced from the intimacy they’d just shared, but now another kind of fear overtook it. She wrapped her nightgown tightly around her body and sat in Leonard’s leather chair, her ears trained on the sounds outside. The silence was deeper now, deceptive.Downstairs, near the back entrance of the mansion, a figure in all black

MORANO'S MANSION — Leonard’s OfficeHe pulls me close, running his hand inside my silk nightgown on my thigh, our lips meeting in a slow, grounding kiss. After a long pause, he holds me against him and whispers into my neck."If anyone else had told me... I might’ve had them killed.""And that’s why I walked in first." I smirked against his skin. His hand gripped my thigh tighter as he exhaled a dry chuckle into the crook of my neck, but the warmth in his laughter gave way to something heavier—want, need, longing layered in restraint. He kissed me again, firmer this time, not rushed, but with the urgency of a man who’s been holding himself back for far too long. His lips found mine like they belonged there, like every argument, every war, every sleepless night led to this one breathless moment. My fingers tangled into the collar of his shirt, tugging at it as if the fabric itself was an offense. He unbuttoned it slowly, deliberately, eyes fixed on me as though he were memorizing every

Sophia's POV MORANO'S MANSION - Leonard's Office "Don't worry, Grace. I will take it to him," I said softly, reaching out to take the tray of hot noodles from her hands. "Ma, I noticed sir didn’t eat his dinner," Grace replied, her brows slightly furrowed. "So I decided to make something light for him." "Thank you. I’ll make sure he eats it," I assured her with a small smile. She returned the gesture and walked away, leaving me standing before the door to Leonard’s office. I didn’t bother knocking. I opened the door and stepped into the dimly lit room. A soft amber glow came from a solitary lamp, casting long shadows across the dark wooden furniture. The air was heavy with silence, broken only by the faint clink of ice against glass. Papers lay scattered across the floor and desk, evidence of his frustration. Leonard sat slouched in his chair behind the large desk, fingers wrapped tightly around a glass of whiskey. His jaw was clenched, his expression unreadable. "You’ve been i

Sophia's POV MORANO'S MANSION - LOGAN'S ROOM "What the hell is this?" Leonard said with a shocked expression. "What?" I asked, pushing the door open. My heart skipped suddenly as I saw where Leonard's eyes were fixed. He had caught them—Logan and Massimo. He knows now. The secret is out. Massimo and Logan pulled apart instantly. Silence dropped like a bomb. Leonard’s face was unreadable—his hands clenched, jaw tight. The room tensed like a wire about to snap. How do I stop this fight that's about to start? I asked myself, my mind blank on what to do. "Leonard … it's not what it—" Logan stammered, still holding Massimo's hand tightly as Massimo stood, startled. "Don’t insult me with that line. I saw it. Your lips were on him. My bodyguard. My blood. How long has this been going on?" Leonard cut Logan off, his voice rising. "Boss, please. It wasn’t planned. It just... happened," Massimo said, stepping forward slightly. "Leonard, please. You should calm down and listen to them,

MORANO'S MANSION - LOGAN'S ROOMMassimo entered the softly lit room with quiet steps, carrying a tray with a bowl of hot soup. The air smelled faintly of chamomile and antiseptic. Logan lay motionless on the bed, his body bruised, bandaged, and pale, but his eyes followed Massimo with a mixture of curiosity and quiet longing.Without saying a word, Massimo placed the tray on the bedside table. He reached down carefully, slipping an arm behind Logan's back and lifting him gently. He placed a pillow behind him for support, making sure Logan leaned comfortably against it. The way he handled Logan was meticulous, as if any wrong touch might break him further.“Time to eat,” Massimo said softly as he sat beside the bed, picking up the bowl of soup. Steam curled up in gentle wisps, and he began blowing on a spoonful to cool it down.He brought the spoon to Logan’s lips. “Ah,” he signaled, waiting. But Logan didn’t open his mouth. He just stared at Massimo—weakly, but intensely.“If you keep

Party Hall – Gavin’s 60th Birthday “Excuse me,” Leonard said as he rose from the table, giving Sophia a brief glance that spoke more than words could. Calm and deliberate, he moved through the crowd, heading straight for Victoria. She stood near the edge of the room, a glass of champagne in one hand, her red dress clinging to her like flame to wick. Her lips curved the moment she saw him approach. “Do you also bring business to party grounds?” Leonard asked without ceremony. “We are done talking business.” He lifted his glass and took a sip, his eyes never straying far from Sophia—watchful, almost protective. “You’re a hard man to find in a room full of suits, Leonard Morano,” Victoria said with a smirk, her gaze trailing over him like a challenge. “Thought I’d have to bribe the bartender to track you down.” “You found me. Congratulations. Hope it was worth the trouble.” His voice was smooth but flat, unamused. “It just might be. You look… exquisite tonight. Power looks good on
