Chapter 49

Lucy's pov;

When I came to the house, I tried to go to my room but Tyler asked me to stop and said, "I'll inform you once the dinner is ready." And walked to the kitchen.

I wonder how he can stay calm even after I've been mean to him. Is he trying to resist me? If he is, then let's see how much he can resist me?

I came to my room and dropped on the bed staring at the ceiling. Because of Tyler, I happened to remember that guy after a long time. It was my first time visiting his tombstone today. At the hospital, when they asked me to sign the burial process, that was the last time I saw him lying dead covered by a cloth over him. I didn't even go to his funeral to see him off when the people who organised it invited me. Even though he gambled and beat me for silly things when he's drunk, he never gave up on me at any time. Even though he was chased by those loan sharks, he didn't let go of me. He had many chances of abandoning me but he didn't. He kept me with him.
