Reed family villa.

Madison walked into the villa with shopping bags filled with items from luxurious brands. Her mother, who was watering her favourite plant, stops her.

Madison, stop right there! Georgia said as she dropped the can in her hands, she removed the gloves, exposing her perfectly manicured hands.

Shopping...... Again? Georgia asked.

Mom, these are the latest designer clothes. Ever since she was finally able to kick Evelyn out she had been shopping like crazy and always going to parties trying to be friends with socialites. However, they all still look down on her due to her status, and she is desperately trying to change their opinion, so she often goes shopping with them, hoping to befriend them.

Madison you can't spend like this. Your father won't like this; you know the company has been facing some setbacks recently. This is really not the time to spend lavishly. Georgia said even though she had never missed her pedicure and manicure appointment, including her facial routine, at the most expensive spa in the country.

Hmm.... I know, Mom. Madison replied. She just wanted to fit in the upper class, even though she had always gotten everything she wanted; she still couldn't fit in the upper class, and most people always preferred her sister because of her legitimate status and her dead mother's legacy, which had always infuriated her.

Hmph.. why don't you dump those useless socialites and find potential husbands in the higher class that can benefit this family and make your father proud? Georgia said.

Then Madison seemed to remember something.

Mom... Scarlett called me earlier today. She saw Evelyn at City Hospital; she said Evelyn came out of the prenatal care unit. It seems she is pregnant. She told her mother.

But Georgia didn't seem worried.

It's good... Is it not? Your father will hate her more now. She said dismissively.

Yes, but the men I hired called and told me they didn't get the job done after receiving the payment, and that's why I used the Photoshopped pictures. Madison said sounding frustrated.

Well... Our plan succeeded, right? That is all that matters. Georgia replied smiling sweetly.

Hmm..... Okay, I'll go to my room then. Madison said as she headed upstairs with her luxurious items.

Later that day Madison say gently on her bed after her usual skin care routine when she saw a post on her social media account, the richest billionaire in N city who barely appeared in on social media, Logan knight was looking for a woman, a pendant was also posted, she looked at the comments under the post most people commented how lucky she was to have caught the eye of such an outstanding man.

Her eyes darted to the picture of the pendant, and she paused.

This.... This is... Oh my God. She gasped as she rushed to find her mother who was in the middle of her skin care routine

What is wrong? Georgia snapped as she was clearly startled by her sudden entry.

Mom.... take a look. She said, handing her phone to her mother, who looked a bit confused.

Georgia stared at the picture. She could never mistake this pendant; she knew it belonged to Camila, her worst nightmare. She had designed this piece herself and used to wear it often before she died. After her death, Evelyn began wearing it.

What about it? Georgia asked feeling irritated.

Logan Knight is searching for a woman, and this pendant belongs to the mysterious woman. It has been trending news for the past few months, but somehow I just found out about it.

It.... it isn't Evelyn's right? She asked nervously.

This is definitely Camila's pendant....

Madison collapsed on the sofa in despair. She clenched her fist, her knuckles turning white, and her eyes turning red in anger.

If Evelyn's jade pendant is in Logan Knight's hands and she is pregnant....... Could the man Evelyn slept with that night be Logan Knight....

Madison's eyes turned redder at the realisation that Evelyn is pregnant with Logan Knight's child.

After everything she has done to take Evelyn's place and become the only daughter of the Reed family, to gain favour and recognition, Evelyn still managed to get entangled with Logan Knight? How could she be so lucky? Madison sobbed, her heart filled with hatred for Evelyn, as if she had stolen her man.

Mom.. mom, we can't let him find her, if he finds her, she'll rise to the top, and no matter what I do, I won't be able to surpass her, we'll forever be under her feet ..... we need to do something. Madison desperately grabbed her mother's hand.

Who is Logan Knight? He is the richest man in the whole of N city, he is well known in the business world, and even the government borrows money from him to take on projects. He is that powerful!

Georgia's face also turned white, realising the situation, but she soon calmed, an eerie smile plastered on her face as she said to her daughter....

Five years later

Evelyn Reed walked out of the airport in a grey suit and pants, giving her the look of a domineering CEO. She wore dark sunglasses and her hair swayed in rhythm with the Wind.

She held her kids each in one hand. They looked so adorable, she sometimes used to wonder how handsome the man from that night was but she knew he was definitely someone who turned heads wherever he went. She named her babies Colin and Carson, they both have thin lips, big eyes, and full-shaped foreheads with fair skin, except Carson has slightly bigger eyes, which people don't usually notice, making them incredibly identical that no one can differentiate them except her.

Evelyn took off her sunglasses, taking a deep breath of fresh air as she stared deeply at the city that had caused her pain. It was still as bustling as it used to be five years ago when she left the county to pursue her dreams. She swore to make those who hurt her pay for everything they did to her and take back everything that should have belonged to her!
