Lola’s POV

For someone like me, Logan’s whereabouts were never truly a mystery—especially when he wanted to be found. His patterns were always the same. Predictable. Calculated. And even though this wasn’t Philadelphia, and we were now in Green City, none of that mattered. Logan always had a way of finding a hideout that no one else could uncover—no one except those who truly knew him. People like me.

I sat in the driver’s seat, hands gripping the wheel as I closed my eyes, trying to picture every secluded place nearby that could serve as a potential hideout. Logan never hid at random. He hid where only those closest to him would think to look.

As I mentally retraced our path into this part of the city, one image lingered: the overhead bridge near our street. I remembered the murky waters beneath it. Rumors said the water wasn’t deep, but years ago, a teenage girl had fallen off while playing too close to the edge. They said she died before help arrived—before 911 could even be diale

Lola’s POVI inhaled the first line and tilted my head back, letting the rush hit me. It did something in me. Something even words could not attempt to explain. Something marvelous—so intoxicating that I just wanted to inhale another line and feel that highness pulse through me again, deep in my bones.“You miss it, huh?” Logan smirked the moment he saw how I reacted.I didn’t say anything. I just nodded rapidly—like Tom from a cartoon, nodding furiously when offered a bowl of milk. That was me. Eager. Unashamed. He smirked again, this time slower. Like he already knew what would happen next. Then, without a word, he extended his hand to me.“Go on. Inhale this line. It’s mixed with blint. It'll make you feel different—higher than ordinary white ice,” he murmured, pulling my head gently toward a particular line on the shelf.I didn’t resist. I let him guide me. And then I inhaled.Immediately, I tapped my head rapidly with my fingers, as if trying to process the wave that surged throu

Lola’s POVI breathed out deeply as I watched Logan slide into the driver’s seat. A strange tension floated in the air, and I wasn’t sure if it came from him or from the memories that threatened to resurface. I walked toward the front passenger seat, opened the door, and slid in without a word.“Where to now?” I asked him, keeping my voice calm despite the uncertainty swirling inside me.But he just smiled—that same mischievous, knowing smile—and said nothing. He released the handbrake, turned the wheel, shifted the gear into reverse, and accelerated backward until we merged onto the road. The silence between us wasn’t awkward—it was heavy, almost like it had meaning. After a journey that stretched over an hour, we finally arrived at a local fast food restaurant far away from the shores of Green City. I looked around. This place was unfamiliar, detached from everything I knew. I had never been anywhere near here before. I didn’t know anyone around, and the distance made me wonder what

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 53 What She Has Been Doing?

Lola’s POVThe hallway was dim and quiet, save for the soft creaking of the wooden floor beneath my steps as I carried Jasmine toward her room. She was still snoring loudly in my arms, her tiny fingers curled loosely around my shirt. I wanted to lay her down gently and tiptoe away without a sound—but Logan had other plans. He stepped directly into my path.He stood there—firm, imposing—with his arms crossed. I stopped immediately, clutching Jasmine tighter to my chest. The way he looked at me wasn’t just about seeing me. It was about control.“And where do you think you’re going when you haven’t come to see me like you promised?” he said, frowning. Then slowly, deliberately, he raised his hand and traced a finger down the side of my face. There was a teasing lilt in his voice, but his eyes were dead serious. I recognized that look. I’d seen it before—right before he did something monstrous.A chill ran down my spine as a memory hit me like a flash grenade. We had just made love in our

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 52 Tyler’s Reaction and Where Was Lola?

Tyler’s POVMy heart pounded immediately. I literally heard my heartbeat in my hands. What did I just read?To be truthful, I knew what I did—or better to say, what Eunice and I did—against Orion Labs International. We just needed to expand our profit margin, and it was Eunice’s idea back then that we started selling products.Judging that Lustre and Co. was a company that sold beauty services to high and average-esteem customers, we thought selling skincare products would complement our services. But there was a problem. We wanted to brand the products in our name because that could bring prestige and elevate our company even more. I didn’t know how Eunice did it, but she somehow got a hold of a secret ingredient—and we used it.Now that Eunice and I were no longer together, the sins of the past were creeping up, and I was left to face the consequences alone. Was this really happening?I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know how to think. But I knew one thing: a lawsuit was somethin

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 51 Tyler’s Outburst

Tyler’s POVThe doctor walked into the room where I was lying. By then, Lola was no longer by my side. She had been there all night, sitting vigil like the devoted wife she always was—but even the most caring person isn’t a machine. She needed sleep, didn’t she?To function well, the brain needs rest, and Lola had pushed herself enough. Before she left, she kissed me gently on the forehead and promised to return in the afternoon to check on me. I didn’t feel any resentment. In fact, I appreciated her decision to get some rest. It showed she was thinking clearly—for both of us. After all, I’d be fine. The doctor had promised. The last clear image I had before the surgery was of the doctor stepping into my room, holding a syringe.“Mr. Cooper, we will now commence the surgery,” he said calmly. He lifted the syringe and pressed the bottom, a small stream of liquid spurting out as he tested it.“This is a sedative,” he explained. “It will cast you into a deep sleep while we operate. You’l

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 50 Blackson Obama

Eunice’s POVI was still deep in thought, trying to piece together the possibility of Dr. Joel’s murder—or if he had truly taken his own life—when my phone suddenly rang, snapping me back to the present.Even though I wasn’t in Green City anymore, I was in Jamaica. Thankfully, I had the foresight to activate the roaming network on both my phone and SIM before leaving. I knew there was a chance I might need to receive urgent calls from board members—calls I couldn’t afford to miss, no matter where I was.I squinted at the screen, moving my gaze to the top where it displayed the caller's ID. Then I exhaled sharply.Blackson.My mind instantly recalled the last conversation we had before I traveled. He had promised to get back to me after visiting Philadelphia, where he intended to uncover the truth about Lola’s past arrest.Even though a heavy weight still sat on my chest because of the disturbing possibility surrounding Dr. Joel, I couldn’t ignore how critical it was to expose Lola too

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 49 Eunice Heard the News

Eunice’ POVJamaica was a beautiful country in the Caribbean, an island in the sun-kissed sea where reggae rhythms floated on the breeze.Being a sun-baked country and one with warm weather almost all year round, I sat by the side of the beautiful beach, soaking it all in. I sat on the lounge chair, wearing a hat, sunglasses, pants, and a bra, sunbathing on the island that looked like it was kissed by the gods themselves.I stared at the people in front of me, playing in the water and having the time of their lives. I smiled quietly, watching one of them making silly moves for their friends, trying to make their vacation as funny and enjoyable as possible. They looked so carefree, so alive. There was something sacred about vacation. It felt like a sabbath — a time to rest, revive, gather your strength again, to find peace before heading back into the chaos of work and everyday life once the vacation was over.As I watched families in the water throwing balls at each other, laughing li

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 48 The Talk WIth Tyler

Lola’s POV I turned the doorknob slowly and gently with one hand, while Jasmine slept peacefully in my other arm.As I walked through the door and stepped inside, I saw him open his eyes as though he had been expecting us all along.“Hey,” he said, his voice laced with pain, each word sounding like it hurt to speak.I walked straight to the side of his bed and sat down. “Hey,” I greeted back, forcing a feigned smile onto my face as I reached for his hand—like a devoted, peaceful wife who didn’t want to lose the man she loved. If tonight had played out in the distant future, under more natural circumstances—say, the poison took effect and he just slept and never woke up—wouldn’t I have been the happiest woman on earth? So happy, in fact, that if the Guinness Book of Records didn’t recognize it, it would have been a crime.“How are you?” I asked, pulling myself out of the swirling thoughts in my head. I gently caressed the back of his hand with my thumb, soft and slow.“We were worried
