17. Charlotte's Father

Charlotte’s POV

Today was Sunday, and the coffee shop was closed for the day and for customers but for staff only. "Uhm, please let me in. Casey is my friend, and I promise I'm not a bad person. I just want to talk to her."

So the new waiter and waitress lined up for their meeting conference for today, and the new waiter blocked my way because he thought I was a customer who wanted to ask for coffee or a Karen who only wanted to fight.

The young waiter said, “I’m sorry, Miss—”

Then a familiar voice interrupted the waiter, and said, “It’s okay just let her in.”

It was Casey’s mom, she was wearing a fierce look on her face, and I bet she was not happy to see me today and even stepped foot in her daughter’s fancy coffee shop.

She rolled up her white long sleeves, and put her hair behind her earlobe and asked, “What are you doing here, Charlotte?”

“I’m here for Casey.”

She said in a threatening voice but calmly held my hand tightly that she wanted to pinch me, "Well, let me tell y
