Damon:
Tammy:He carried me to the bathroom and dropped me in the bathtub before getting in behind me. I moved forward to avoid touching my back to his torso but his hand found my bare waist, wrapping around it. He pulled me to him till my back was flushed against his chest. I shivered from the contact, goosebumps appearing on my skin but not from cold, rather, from a different kind of feeling entirely.&
Tammy:I'd just awakened from my nap in Damon's room. It was the only thing I'd been doing for the past week. I rubbed my eyes gently to get rid of my sleepy haze. My gaze landed on the book I'd borrowed from Stella that I'd been reading before I slept off. It was a romance novel. I contemplated continuing from where I stopped but my stomach rumbled at that instant and the will to proceed was lost.
Damon:My ears picked up an almost silent sniffle coming from inside the room as I got closer to the door. Other than Tammy, there was no one in the room. The closer I got to the door, the more I heard her silent cry. Suddenly, my heart was heavy like it was carrying extra weight. It was obvious she was crying.
We were just about to have dinner when the doorbell rang. Tammy was going to get it but I grabbed her arm."Don't".She gave me a baffled look that said *
Tammy:When Damon told me he wanted to take me out, I'd thought it was just a casual outing until he pulled up at the front of a mansion that I was sure was a residential home.
Tammy:As I made my way to Damon's study, I contemplated different ways of informing him of my new plans. Standing by the door, I took a deep breath to calm myself before daring to knock.
Tammy:On getting to my room, I immediately booted the laptop. I logged in to check out the courses he'd registered for me and they were all accurate. I wondered how he got everything in such a short span of time but the happiness and excitement of starting school again wiped those thoughts away.
Tammy:Damon marched out of the restaurant and dumped me into the car. He got in after me and ordered Smith to drive in a cold voice. Throughout the drive, I clung to the corner of my seat, occasionally glancing at Damon. He was looking out the window with clenched jaw and palms balled into fists. The car was dead silent with the exception of my heart thudding wildly.
