Chapter 45

Scarlett's pov

The night progressed smoothly as almost all the guests arrived and lingered in the sitting room for some time before they moved into the dining room.

"Just as I said, many eyes will be on you tonight," Nora whispered as we walked into the dining room.

"Even Silas can't take his eyes off you." She continued and my cheeks heated at her words as my eyes found Silas across the room and I immediately lowered my head, unable to hold his stare.

Nora showed me to my seat and she smiled slyly at me as she placed me between two single alphas before she walked away to take her place at Silas' right.

The food was served and dinner began and I watched helplessly at my place at the end of the table how all the females vied for Silas' attention, it was almost pathetic to watch.

I focused my attention on my plate and slowly ate my food.

"Is the food really that interesting?" A voice to my right asked and I turned to see if it was me he was talking to.

    Chapter 58Silas' pov"Silas," a familiar voice called out to me and I looked around but couldn't see anyone."Elara?" I called out hesitantly."Silas."
