Ethan’s POV

I remained calm after seeing the sign Lena gave me. This witch keeps calling me "expressionless," probably because, during our first meeting, I refused to show any reaction on my face.

“Do you both need seats too?” she asked, a mocking smile playing on her lips.

Before we could even open our mouths to respond, seats appeared the same way they had before—hitting Lena’s leg. This time, they struck us with just as much force, shoving us into them.

“Don’t worry, dears, you’ll need the seats. This will take a while.” She paused, scanning our faces, her gaze lingering on mine.

“Mr. Expressionless still living up to his name, I see,” she teased, her voice dripping with amusement.

I glared at her with as much disgust as I could muster. All I wanted was to rip her apart, but somehow she sensed my thoughts.

“Haha, no evil thoughts in my lair, Expressionless, you hear me?” she said, her tone mockingly sweet.

    **************************Lena's POV I was very angry about the whole thing, angry about how Ethan tried to convince me to go with him and leave Adrian. I couldn't believe he asked me to do something like that. Running through the tunnels, fueled by anger and desperation, I made up my mind to destroy Zane and make sure I saved Adrian. Ethan continued to beg me and try to change my mind, but I waivedamantm a. NT I listen to. All I could think of was saving Adrian no matter what. I wasn't going to do this; I was going to allow myself to be deceived by his selfishness. 'I don't care what Ethan says but I won't abandon Adrian and I will make sure I make Zane pay for what he has done' I said to myself I continued to move deeper into tunnels, meetings, and staircases. Everywhere I passed through, I came across Zane's minion. These dar,k evil creatures blocked my pain, and I showed them no mercy. I used every bit of anger I felt inside of me, channelling my growing rage into my attacks.

    *********************Ethan's POV The sight of what I saw dreaded Me I could see the life being sniffed out from Lyla I controlled the urge to run into the middle of everything and just try to save her but I needed a plan I wouldn't want to go there and then I ended up being caught in the Web of what was going on without being able to save Lena. I tried to see if I could get signs of her alive, and I decided to use my hearing to check for a heartbeat. I was glad when I heard her heartbeat. Though it was slow, I was glad it was still beating. Leba was unconscious, with dark magic swirling around her as Zane kept on draining the power and life inside of her. Adrian was barely unconscious, chained and weakened. My heart pounded as I accessed the situation. I knew the time was running out, and I must act quickly to save both lena and Adrian. 'There's no way to win this fight outright. I need to overhang him,' I said to myself. I began to analyse and observe Zane's movement and powers.

I was angry at myself for what I had done. The last thing I remember was Lena lashing out at me, sending me flying. The thoughts of that scenario just made me more angry at myself it made me feel so stupid. I didn't know how long that was.'She couldn't have gone far' I said to myself I moved the last rock on my leg and started moving forward. As I moved further, I began to see packs of Zane's minions dead on the floor. I checked for their pulses, and it seemed like they had been dead for a while. I was shocked; I wondered, how long they had died for. I left them and moved forward down the tunnel. Nel, I met more and more minions that appeared to be dead along the line bu, but I didn't see a sign of Lena. I decided to follow the trail of dead bodies and continued going further and further until I came close

It was a dangerous thing. I was not also going to slow the risk of her life because of Adrian. Besides, I already listed her once; I wasn't going to lose her again to Zane, and this felt like a good way to eliminate my competition.
