Her Limit

Alex stood in the middle of the clear path in the woods with her hands on her knees, taking in a slow breath. It was as if she was about to die, literally because of the way her chest felt tight. Behind her, but as if far away, she heard Gideon asking if she was all right, but she knew she wasn’t.

She couldn't even move from her current position, and her limbs were so weak they felt like some melted jelly. Was this how dying felt like or what? She asked herself but she had no answer to that.

For goodness sake, she soon realized that she wasn’t seeing anything clearly anymore. Her vision started to blur as her eyes thinned.

Was it possible that she had been poisoned? But if so, then how? She hadn't eaten anything all day except for breakfast, and she had cooked and served it herself, she had also eaten with others and no one was sure feeling like this.
