My mom was giving me "that look" again, the one that meant that she was really mad at me and would snap if I don't say something to appease her. But what could I possibly say to her?
Since the night I slept at Darren's place and got kidnapped by his Aunt Aveera, she's been so angry with me, thinking that I got reckless at the party and couldn't come back home. I told her that I felt a little sick and couldn't come back home but like every parent she had the best set of detective questions to expose me.

Tom's POV I smelled blood just as I parked my car and got down, I was tempted to grab an early snack but I couldn't - not after the way, Sharlynn treated me because of my natural lust for blood. I have been feeding on blood from blood bags instead and it honestly felt uninteresting because the thrill and excitement we derive from hunting our prey just before we feed was completely absent.
