This mate bond makes no sense, how can I trust a vampire that I once detested and dreaded? How could I not feel guilty especially for Darren? I knew it wasn't right but it....kinda felt right. I sighed as I looked at my empty note. I couldn't follow any of the classes because I was scared that Aveera would come for me.
I jolted at the sound of the bell signifying the end of classes for the day and sighed when I realized that it was just the school bells. Everyone rushed out of class except me, Tom and Nikk.
" Are you okay?" Tom asked, bending down to my level. I was about to answer when I heard Nikk groaning in frustration.
" If this is what having a mate means - then I'll pass" he commented with resentment while Tom and I just smiled.

Sharlynn's POVEveryone calmed down and watched Kyle carefully to see if he would fall and die but when they saw that he was okay they resumed their normal activities." Well, I guess this would've been a more enjoyable day if Kyle here told us about this necklace loophole three hours earlier," Dean said and they all murmured in agreement." What? Tom's POV I smelled blood just as I parked my car and got down, I was tempted to grab an early snack but I couldn't - not after the way, Sharlynn treated me because of my natural lust for blood. I have been feeding on blood from blood bags instead and it honestly felt uninteresting because the thrill and excitement we derive from hunting our prey just before we feed was completely absent. But to please Sharlynn, I ignored the smell of blood and focused on going to my first class - history. Tom's POV " What the hell was that huh?" Darren asked me, he was now breathing heavily and I could tell that he was on the brink of one of their stupid witch episodes. I for one wasn't a fan of all that bloody nonsense so I sighed and said. Just as I now despise calling Ron my father - not after what he revealed some while back. As far as I was concerned, any man who would deceive his kids and take away their right to live a normal human life just to please his mistress is a disgrace.
