Chapter 6: The Council

"We have to do something besides sit on our asses and wait for an attack."  Eric stands up and exclaims to the council angrily.  Everyone else seems to want to wait, but they haven't been attacked as many times as we have in the last several weeks.  

Not realizing that I can hear everyone's thoughts, a few of the council members think to themselves that Eric is just being stupid and that he isn't thinking this through first.  We talked about it all morning before coming to the last day of the council meetings and we figured the only way we are going to get ahead of this is to start discussing attacks against the surrounding territories.  Maybe then, we won't be so caught off guard next time.

Ryder stands up and speaks, "My brother is right, but first we need to secure what we do have before we go into attack mode.  Defending should be our first priority, because if we don't have anything to come back to when we are done attacking, t
