Chapter 9: A New Life
"Raven, you are pregnant." The doctor announces with excitement in his voice.
Shocked, I stand there not knowing what to say. The only time this could have happened was when we first met and I went into heat. For us, the only time we are fertile is when we are in heat and only with our bonded mate's.
Realizing this is a horrible time to be pregnant, I don't quite know how Eric is going to feel about this when I tell him. He could take it one of two ways, either tear my throat out or be the happiest man alive. I won't know which one until I tell him though, unfortunately.
"Is it safe to change form or fight pregnant?" I ask concerned, because I know full well that it will be necessary some time in the near future to do one or both.
