Chapter 6

—Orion's POV—  

    “She's pregnant?” I growled at Francis. 

     “Yes, she is. She found out that night.” He told me. 

    “What didn't you tell me?” I growled at him. 

      “You can punish me later but right now we need to find her, she's pregnant and alone. They are rogues in the forest Orion.”  He tells me and I know he's right. I don't believe this talk about Allison being my mistress but she's pregnant with my child, so I have to find her and protect her. 

    I let go of Francis. “Gather the men, they are to spread out and find her and tell them not to come back until they find her, if not I'll have their heads.” I tell Francis and he nods his head and leaves the room. 

    Shelly gets us from the bed, not bothering to cover, she walks up to me and runs her hands over my chest. “Baby, come back to bed.” She purrs at me, but instead of turning me on, it just pisses me off. 

     I grab her hands and shove her away from me. “Are you deaf Shelly? Didn't you hear what Francis just said? Stay in here and don't leave, I'll be back as soon as I've found Allison.” I tell her and she looks like she's about to cry but I don't give a fuck, the only thing on mind right now is finding Allison and making sure that my child is alright.

     It's been almost a week and nothing, we searched the woods and the surrounding towns and hospitals but she was no where to be found, she had completely disappeared without a trace and with my child too. 

     I postponed the wedding because of the search but I couldn't do that anymore, so today me and Shelly would be wed and she would become my Luna. She wasn't my mate, I knew that but after what happened with Carol, I didn't believe in that anymore. 

     I liked Shelly, she was strong and she came from a good pack, she would be a good Luna, plus there was the added bonus of her being a good fuck. 

     Things between Francis and I have been strained ever since Allison left. I'm angry at him for not telling me she was pregnant and for consistently lying to me that she was my mate, if she was my mate, I would know that bond, there's no mistaking it and I didn't feel anything like that whenever I was with her. 

    She must have either been lying or she was mistaken, because there was no way she could be his mate. Ever since the witch cursed him, things between him and Francis became strained but they were even worse now, the only time they talked to each other was either it was about pack matters or Allison. 

    Even today, Francis opted out from attending his wedding, he didn't hide how he felt about Shelly and Orion marrying her, he knew he couldn't stop the wedding but that didn't mean he had to attend. 

     I finished dressing up and walked into the hall. It wasn't a big wedding much to Shelly's disappointment, but I wasn't going to budge on it. We would be married and then have a celebration in the pack and that was it. A week earlier I was excited about this marriage but now, I felt absolutely nothing and I had no idea why.

     It was now late in the evening, we were married, my pack now had a Luna. Food and drinks have been flowing all day and tired of Shelly's incessant babbling, I have indulged myself in the drinks and it's safe to say that I am buzzed, but not drunk, I still have control of my faculties.

     “What the hell is wrong with you Orion? Getting drunk on our wedding day, what will your pack think?” Shelly whisper shouts in my ear. 

    I turn and glare at her. “This is a celebration isn't it?” I asked her. 

     “Yes, but…..” 

     “But nothing, you might be my wife now but that doesn't give you the right to question me or tell me what to do. Now we are outside and we are surrounded by wolves that have super hearing, you better behave yourself if not, you won't like what I'll do to you.” I growl at her and that immediately shuts her up.  

   I look at the crowd, people are dancing, talking and laughing and I should feel something right? But no, I feel nothing but the only thing on my mind is Allison and finding her, we've looked everywhere but there is one place that we haven't looked and the moment Francis brought it up I wanted to kill him but I have to admit that he's right, that's the only place that she could be. 

    I stood up to leave but Shelly held on to my hand. “Where are you going?” She asked me in a low voice. 

     “I'm going to see Francis, don't wait up.” I tell her and just to keep up appearances, I lean down and peck her on her cheek and then I leave. 

      I walk down to Francis house and knock loudly on his door and he opens it, looking shicked to see me. “What is it Orion? I thought you would be busy with Shelly by now?” He asked me as he walked inside his house, leaving the door open for me to come in. 

      I stepped in and followed him into the living room. “I thought about what you said and you are right.” I tell him, he looks shocked. 

      “Who are you and what have you done with my Alpha?” He asked. 

      “Stop being funny, I can admit when I'm wrong.” I tell him. 

      “Alright, so what exactly was I right about?” He asked me. 

      “About Allison, you were right, we need to go to the rogue pack and find out if she's there.” 

     He looked relieved. “When do we leave?” He asked. 

      “First thing in the morning.”
