Aiden POV

"You can make yourself comfortable, please have a seat." I gesture them to the seats around, they all sit but I'm the last to sit down. Melinda stares at me with wide awestruck eyes. "Melinda, what's wrong? I can see you're surprised."

"Yes sir. Absolutely surprised!" She replies.

"By what? The way I'm behaving?"

"Oh yes! It's never been witnessed before. Sorry if I'm taking too many liberties, you've been strict, authoritative and cruel." The cruel gets added in the most sarcastic tone that I can't help but narrow my eyes in amusement. I can't remember the last time someone talked to me this way, I think it's a pretty long time or it has never occurred before. Anyway she apologized for this, hence I can't hold it against her.
